While the clinical treatment was consistently satisfactory, the administrative aspects like communication and scheduling were previously challenging. The recent appointment of a dedicated Practice Manager seems beneficial. Terrible access frustrates patient despite friendly staff

It was an incredibly frustrating two-year journey just to secure an appointment! When I finally met the doctor and nurse, they were fantastic. However, the appointment scheduling process is absolutely atrocious and unacceptable. Their patient access system is completely dysfunctional. While you can update basic personal details like contact information, the digital interface is prehistoric and utterly useless. I endured a 45-minute phone wait, only to be told no appointments were available and was instructed to call back the next day. The entire experience is truly appalling and deeply disappointing. 🥺

Speedy and friendly medical service saves the day

I urgently required medical consultation today, and despite being 13th in the queue, I quickly reached the front of the line. The receptionists must endure immense pressure managing such a high volume of calls, yet they remained incredibly cheerful and efficient, as if it were their first interaction of the day. The doctor promptly returned my call and processed a prescription for me. When I went to collect it, I realized I hadn't allowed sufficient time for preparation. The receptionists were wonderfully accommodating, resolving the issue and providing me with a reference code for the pharmacy if needed. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the receptionists for their exceptional assistance and to the doctor for addressing my medical needs. Worst medical experience ever avoid at all costs

Absolutely deserves a zero-star rating. The service is utterly appalling from start to finish. If you're fortunate, you might get a one-minute consultation where doctors seem desperate to usher you out as quickly as possible, prioritizing speed over thoroughness. The receptionists are about as useful as a painful medical condition, providing minimal assistance and making the entire experience miserable.

Overpriced paperwork with inconsistent and frustrating service

I was stunned when they demanded £70 in cash for paperwork I've been anticipating for three months. They never disclosed the fee upfront and claimed processing could take up to 20 days. My medical case has essentially been a complete waste of time. Their staff can't even maintain a consistent story about the charges - one says the price is determined after review, another insists it's a flat £70 for everyone. Which is it? My friend managed to get identical documentation from her GP without any cost. They tried to justify it by saying they evaluate each case individually, but it seems more like they're judging each person's face. The whole situation is utterly disgraceful.

Worst customer service experience ever

Absolutely terrible customer service, with receptionists who are completely unhelpful. They merely offer empty apologies and claims of understanding, then immediately talk over you without actually listening. Their communication skills are nonexistent, and they come across as both discourteous and utterly incompetent. These staff members are utterly useless and provide zero value.

PLEASE READ THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH: Having been a patient at this practice for over three decades, I've experienced moments of intense frustration, particularly with a male nurse practitioner who seemed to believe he knew more than both myself and my consultant. He even resorted to shouting at me! After lodging a complaint, my consultant intervened by writing to the practice about my condition's management, resulting in a formal apology from one of the partners. HOWEVER, I recently encountered truly OUTSTANDING care from a new physician, Dr Iqbal. Upon returning from vacation feeling extremely ill, he promptly conducted multiple tests, identifying my issue within a week. I received medication on the day of our consultation and following test results. He compassionately referred me to another hospital department, demonstrating remarkable kindness and support. We've since had follow-up appointments, including a telephone consultation. These doctors are working incredibly challenging hours, which is evident through my NHS app, where I've seen test results being processed even on Saturday evenings, with prescriptions immediately sent to the pharmacy. Furthermore, any pharmacy can access urgent prescriptions by simply verifying your personal details. Medical professionals are genuinely attempting to provide the best care possible under constrained financial circumstances. Receptionists present a different challenge, and they're often the source of patient complaints. While many appear younger than traditional medical receptionists, they're nonetheless striving to manage a demanding role. Being placed on hold when unwell is undoubtedly frustrating, but they're likely managing numerous challenging interactions. One can only imagine their daily call volume. My advice: show compassion.

Despite multiple attempts to rectify these mistakes, they remain unresolved. I recommend checking the NHS app to verify the coding. Overall, their service is extremely subpar and fails to meet basic professional standards, such as providing clear communication about doctor callback times. Every time I contact the clinic, I'm simply told "a doctor will call" with the receptionist seemingly eager to end the conversation. Patients deserve precise information about when they can expect a callback, not vague responses like "this morning" - we have schedules and commitments that require specific timing.

Unprofessional staff and terrible healthcare service

I arrived for my scheduled 9:50 appointment, and after waiting for ten minutes, I approached the reception to inquire about the delay. To my dismay, I was told that the nurse was absent for the day 😆 😂 😆 😂 This is absolutely unacceptable... a complete disaster, with numerous patients voicing similar complaints, yet no action is taken to address the issue.

Terrible service makes me seek bakery alternative

I'm considering reaching out to the local bakery next door instead… They seem more likely to actually schedule me in, I won't have to endure an endless phone wait, their staff will probably be more pleasant, and I won't be dismissed with instructions to retry later. Plus, I can at least grab a sausage roll and salvage something from this frustrating experience.
