Excellent practice if you're comfortable with lengthy processes to secure an appointment, extended waiting periods before being seen, and receiving guidance to allow time for natural recovery when you finally meet with a clinician. Digital barriers make contacting your GP difficult
As a member of this Surgery's Patient Reference group, I remain concerned about their dependence on technology, which appears to create barriers to straightforward and appropriate access to a GP. I have spent several days attempting to reach my GP's replacement. The wait for an appointment was considerably lengthy. It now seems difficult to make contact with this clinician in person. While I have previously supported this practice, I continue to observe that they are not meeting patient needs effectively. I intend to take this matter further through formal channels. The practice should move beyond citing external circumstances as reasons for service limitations and instead focus on improving their provision, or consider whether alternative leadership might better serve their patient population.

I found the appointment booking system straightforward, allowing me to schedule visits at times that suited me, which was more convenient than my previous surgery where same-day calls were necessary and slots would fill quickly. Repeat prescriptions were consistently processed promptly. My household member who also registered here had a similarly good experience. When we raised concerns about a potential health condition, the clinician conducted an initial evaluation and arranged a referral to the appropriate NHS service. My household member chose to pursue private treatment to avoid extended waiting periods, and the practice was accommodating in coordinating care between both providers. We have since relocated to a different area and will need to register elsewhere, but we have no complaints about our time at this practice.

Receptionist helpfulness made booking straightforward
I have not been very impressed with the Medical Centre in the recent past, but I had a face to face appointment recently with a physician associate who was amazing. They listened carefully and were very helpful. I would give them 5 stars. The receptionist who booked my appointment was very helpful too. I just wish I had this experience every time I have had to use the centre in the past.

Had a very poor experience with my recent appointment. I was expecting a call at the scheduled time, but it never came through. When I contacted the practice to follow up, I was informed that there appeared to be no record of the appointment. The interaction with the receptionist was unhelpful and left me feeling frustrated. I did not receive an apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused. Overall, I found the service to be unsatisfactory.

Reception revoked housebound status without warning
Having been registered as housebound with my previous GP practice since 2016, my current practice made the decision to revoke my housebound status without any prior notification. I have significant mobility limitations, experience chronic pain, and have clinically vulnerable status, relying on district nurses for blood tests. Since this change was made, I have been unable to access these tests. I feel this decision does not reflect my actual health needs and circumstances. I found this experience very disappointing.
