Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas of the practice. Appointment access remains a persistent challenge, with many patients reporting lengthy waits of two to four weeks, difficulties reaching the practice by telephone, and frustration with digital booking systems that some find inaccessible. Reception experience is notably inconsistent, with some patients praising courteous and helpful staff, whilst others describe dismissive, unwelcoming, or unhelpful interactions. Communication barriers are evident, including concerns about patient privacy during check-in and inadequate responsiveness to urgent requests.
Clinical care experiences also vary considerably. Several patients report supportive, professional, and caring interactions with clinicians who listen attentively and arrange appropriate referrals. However, others describe dismissive attitudes, lack of empathy, and insufficient investigation of health concerns. Prescription processing delays and challenges with medication management have been reported, alongside concerns about the adequacy of care provision for unwell patients.
Positive feedback highlights efficient appointment systems for some, prompt referrals, and genuine support from both reception and clinical teams. However, the overall pattern suggests systemic issues with appointment availability, accessibility, and consistency in service delivery that warrant attention, particularly regarding how the practice manages demand and communicates with patients seeking urgent care.

Easy to get appointments when you need them
I was initially concerned about switching from my long-standing healthcare provider, and my family shared these worries about adapting to a new practice in our area. After reading various reviews beforehand, we approached the transition with some hesitation. However, having been registered at our current surgery for over a year now, we have consistently received outstanding support from all staff members, including receptionists, nursing staff, and clinicians. We have also found it straightforward to obtain appointments when needed. We are very pleased with the service provided and appreciate the continued commitment to quality care.

Reception team made me feel genuinely welcome
I have been a patient at this practice for two years and have consistently received excellent care from all members of the team, including the clinicians, pharmacy staff, nursing team, and reception staff. Every interaction has been characterised by professionalism, genuine support, and a prompt, attentive response to my healthcare concerns. I am very grateful for the high standard of service provided by everyone at the practice.

Bad!
Reception staff were dismissive and unhelpful
The experience at this practice was disappointing. The reception team came across as dismissive and unhelpful, and there seemed to be a lack of consistency in how things were handled. Despite arriving early for my appointment, there was a significant wait before being seen. I would not recommend this practice.

Couldn't get through on the phone line
This facility deserves the lowest possible rating. The service falls far short of acceptable standards. I struggle to find adequate words to convey the full extent of my concerns about the care provided.

Hard to get past the online form barrier
It appears that accessing a general practitioner at this practice has become increasingly difficult. The reliance on digital submission forms and telephone consultations means that face-to-face appointments are rarely offered. The practice seems to prioritise efficiency over accessibility, requiring patients to navigate multiple barriers before securing an appointment, and even then, in-person visits are uncommon. The reception process raises concerns about patient privacy, as sensitive health information is requested in open areas where conversations can be overheard by other patients waiting in the practice. This has reportedly caused distress to some individuals. While the reception team appear conscientious and are clearly doing their best under challenging circumstances, they are being asked to perform clinical assessment duties without appropriate training. When consultations with a clinician do occur, the experience can feel dismissive and lacking in empathy. Overall, the practice environment and approach to patient care have become disappointing, and those seeking a more traditional, accessible healthcare experience may wish to consider alternatives.

Prescription delayed by poor coordination between staff
If I could give a lower rating I would! I am extremely disappointed by what I perceive as insufficient care shown towards my elderly relative who was dealing with a wound infection. A member of staff contacted my family member to inform them that a prescription was ready for collection at the pharmacy and to collect it as soon as possible. When my family member arrived at the pharmacy, they discovered the prescription had not been authorised and the clinician was unavailable to authorise it due to being in consultations with other patients. Based on my previous experience working in a medical practice, I would have expected urgent prescriptions to be processed between appointments. My family member, who had travelled by public transport to reach the pharmacy, was asked to return at a later time. Eventually, the pharmacy arranged for delivery the following morning. I called to express my concerns and to ask whether the prescription could be sent to the pharmacy via fax so treatment could begin that evening. I was informed that the practice would be closing in a few minutes and therefore nothing could be arranged, and I was advised to contact the out-of-hours service. I found this situation wholly unacceptable and am very dissatisfied with the service provided.

Online requests ignored despite multiple follow-up calls
I wish I could express my dissatisfaction more strongly, as this experience fell well short of expectations. I submitted an online request on Monday morning, and by Thursday, despite making numerous follow-up calls, I had not received a response. During each call, I was directed to submit a request form online. After contacting emergency services, I was given assurance that I would receive a callback from the practice within an hour, but this did not happen. My young child was left unwell and distressed, running a high temperature, without receiving any support or guidance. The clinical team requested a urine sample from my unwell child, who was visibly uncomfortable and unresponsive on the sofa. The sample was collected and sent to the hospital promptly without being tested with a preliminary screening method first. Based on this experience, I would caution others that obtaining an appointment or receiving a callback from this practice appears to be extremely difficult. I am disappointed that I cannot change my experience with this service, which I found to be significantly below acceptable standards.

Dismissed without proper examination or investigation
Disappointing experience when advised to take over-the-counter pain relief, increase fluid intake and rest for a suspected respiratory infection without thorough investigation of the circumstances. The concern is that if the condition deteriorates, the advice given may prove inadequate for the severity of the situation.

Felt heard and supported throughout my care
I've been managing several health concerns over the past year, including hormonal issues and musculoskeletal problems. The clinical team I consulted with throughout this time were consistently supportive and helpful, whether providing guidance, medication, or onward referrals. I felt genuinely listened to during every appointment and couldn't be more satisfied with the care received at the practice.
