Patient feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience at this practice, with stark contrasts between clinical and administrative services. Medical professionals, including several doctors and nursing staff, consistently receive praise for compassionate care, professional expertise, and attentiveness during consultations. However, reception and booking services present significant challenges that dominate negative feedback. Patients report persistent difficulties accessing appointments through phone lines, with extended wait times, call disconnections, and unresponsive staff creating substantial barriers to care. The booking system, particularly recent digital platforms, has been described as dysfunctional and frustrating. Reception experience varies considerably, with some patients noting welcoming and supportive interactions whilst others describe discourteous behaviour, poor communication, and dismissive attitudes.
Communication emerges as a critical issue across multiple touchpoints. Patients struggle with phone accessibility, unresolved online requests, and inadequate follow-up on appointment bookings and test results. Several reviews highlight instances where calls were terminated abruptly or patients were left without resolution after extended hold times. Administrative processes, including fees for documentation and complex booking procedures, have also generated frustration.
Despite these operational challenges, many patients express satisfaction with the quality of medical care itself, suggesting the practice has the clinical foundation to deliver good healthcare but faces substantial organisational and customer service barriers that undermine the overall patient experience and accessibility of services.

Quick help and caring doctor
I secured a same-day consultation right after submitting my booking request. Dr. Anisa Ahmed was incredibly compassionate and supportive, helping me feel completely comfortable. The front desk staff were also excellent, showing a notable improvement compared to my initial experiences with the clinic - I suspect they've been attentive to patient feedback and implemented meaningful changes.

Helpful team got us through urgent moments
I've been a patient at Strouts Place Medical Centre for nearly two years now, and I must say the care has been exceptional. The general practitioners are compassionate and meticulous, always ensuring prompt communication by calling back the same day and following up. During my pregnancy, when I urgently needed prescriptions, the reception staff were incredibly supportive and efficient in helping me. We also had a critical situation with our newborn who was unwell, and the team was remarkable - they swiftly arranged a GP consultation within a few hours and simultaneously processed our baby's registration. Their responsiveness and professionalism during these urgent moments have truly impressed us. We are thoroughly satisfied with the medical care and the staff's commitment to patient support. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team!

Rude receptionists ruined my clinic visit
I am a patient at this clinic and previously praised Dr Talat and his sisters in a review. I must ask ?? Why am I forced to endure the most obnoxious reception staff in all of London???? What planet do they think they're on? I'm battling cancer ? I'm on an intense weight loss program to prepare for a critical bilateral mastectomy and my weight loss support requires monthly manual coordination, which means endless interactions with these self-absorbed receptionists who communicate poorly and lack basic courtesy. As a former English teacher, I'm appalled by their abysmal communication skills - no semblance of customer service or professional care, just pure rudeness that leaves me absolutely furious. I've spent my entire life working and paying taxes like every other citizen, yet these women treat me like garbage, constantly demanding and dictating. Where is their sense of humanity? Dr Talat, you and your sisters are educated professionals - do you genuinely not care? Is NHS funding more important than patient dignity? Would they speak this way to their own family and friends? Some days, the frustration is overwhelming.. Improve your staff training and communication skills immediately! This is absolutely crucial.. #unacceptable #doBetterNow

Rude receptionists ruined my longtime clinic
I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so. The doctors at this practice have not been problematic for me. I've been a patient here since childhood, now approaching 24 years old. However, I believe the service manager needs to seriously reconsider the personnel selected for receptionist roles. I genuinely appreciate the challenging nature of their work, which makes their poor service all the more perplexing. I've experienced multiple unpleasant interactions. Specifically, and I apologize for not knowing their names, two female staff members—one middle-aged wearing a hijab and another with highlighted hair—were exceptionally rude and unprofessional. There's a fundamental difference between communicating medical practice guidelines and doing so with basic human decency, especially when dealing with patients seeking healthcare. While they are entitled to explain office protocols, the manner of communication is crucial. Talking over patients or discussing them loudly in the waiting area is deeply disrespectful. I overheard their conversation, and they seemed entirely unconcerned about their inappropriate behavior. I doubt this review will make any difference, but I am genuinely shocked and profoundly disappointed by their conduct.

Morning care from a thoughtful doctor
During our consultation with Dr Sabir Zaman today, we experienced exceptional professionalism and courtesy. He immediately addressed our concerns, offering clear guidance and promptly scheduling an X-ray and ultrasound to investigate my wife's severe hand pain. The doctor recommended continuing her voltarol medication until a comprehensive care plan could be developed based on the test outcomes. A particularly thoughtful gesture was his offer to communicate in either English or Bengali, which made my wife feel comfortable. From the welcoming reception staff to the doctor himself, the entire service was outstanding, especially given that we were seeing him as an alternative to our regular GP practice.

Terrible reception killed my whole visit
The reception staff here are absolutely terrible. I strongly recommend staying away from this medical facility solely due to their front desk personnel. Compassion 0/10 Listening and comprehension 2/10 Friendliness 0/10 Empathy 0/10 Steer clear at all costs!

Booking nightmare with endless wait times
Their new digital scheduling platform is completely dysfunctional! When you attempt to contact them by phone, you'll endure a 20-minute wait only to be redirected back to the same malfunctioning online system. It's an absolute farce, especially when you're dealing with urgent medical needs! Wish I could rate them lower than zero stars!

Terrible reception and endless waiting time
Goodness... This GP surgery is a complete disaster. To even have a chance of getting medical help, you must first endure an interrogation by the receptionist, followed by endless waiting. A group of receptionists blatantly ignore incoming calls, with one eventually answering only to put callers on hold before returning to their idle chatter. All this occurs mere steps away from the engagement manager JOHN ISAAC and business manager AREEF RAHMAN. The leadership is abysmal, and I strongly recommend terminating both managers and completely replacing the entire reception staff. I've made the decision to seek medical care elsewhere. My sincere condolences if you're currently a patient at this facility.

Saturday pain and no mercy
Absolutely the most disappointing encounter during weekend out-of-hours service. Despite leaving home punctually, I was delayed by a police traffic incident, arriving 14 minutes past their strict 10-minute window. The waiting area was virtually vacant, with just a single person present. Experiencing significant discomfort, my distress was clearly audible to the receptionist, who attempted to advocate for me with the physician. However, the doctor adamantly declined to provide treatment. With my regular GP closed and A&E unwilling to categorize my condition as an emergency, I was left without medical assistance. I will definitely not return to this out-of-hours service under any circumstances.

Sabrina made my blood draw a breeze
Getting my blood drawn was incredibly hassle-free. I was seen immediately upon arrival, and Sabrina, the phlebotomist, was both efficient and gentle. The entire procedure was so smooth and painless that I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant blood test experience.

Painful smear test with awful receptionists
Securing an appointment is a futile endeavor, whether the matter is critical or routine. Phone calls go unanswered, and their email response is to persistently dial daily until a slot miraculously opens. The reception staff are breathtakingly discourteous, demonstrating profound incompetence and a complete lack of professional concern, appearing utterly indifferent and clueless about their responsibilities. The SMEAR test was traumatically distressing - I was reduced to tears by the excruciating procedure, with staff callously suggesting my reaction implied unpreparedness for future childbirth - a comment both insensitive and wholly inappropriate! Given the near-impossibility of accessing medical care through this practice, I've been compelled to seek private healthcare alternatives for most of my medical needs.

Poor!
Scary blood draw with multiple failed attempts
The medical professionals were somewhat competent. However, the phlebotomist urgently requires additional training. Her performance was chaotic, constantly searching for necessary equipment, and she even wiped my armrest with blood before attempting to clean my wound using the same contaminated wipe!! I'm genuinely concerned about potential health risks from such careless practices. She clearly should not have been working without direct supervision! Moreover, she struggled repeatedly to draw blood and ultimately failed. I subsequently lost consciousness, experiencing what seemed like a seizure, and now I'm expected to return to the same incompetent technician. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'm seriously considering changing my primary care provider and finding a different medical practice to avoid repeating such a traumatic experience. Why wasn't she properly prepared with all required materials? And why did the entire procedure drag on interminably? Throughout my numerous blood tests at various medical facilities over the years, I haven't encountered such unprofessional conduct since a disastrous hospital experience back in 2009 with another inadequately trained phlebotomist!!
