Painful appointment with dismissive doctor

I had an absolutely terrible experience at the GP practice today. My 63-year-old mother, who was diagnosed with osteoarthritis last year and has ongoing pain management, continues working despite her condition. Today, she experienced an intense sharp pain and could barely move, requiring my assistance just to walk into the surgery. When we entered the consultation room and met with Dominika Plewa, she immediately demonstrated an unsympathetic approach. When I tried helping my mother remove her boots, Dominika instructed me to stop, forcing my mom to struggle painfully. My mother was so distressed she even used her other foot to remove her boot, breathing heavily from the effort. Dominika then proceeded to comment on my mother's weight (83kg), dismissively suggesting she should go to the gym. When I explained she couldn't due to previous abdominal surgeries and her surgeon's specific advice, Dominika initially disputed this and later claimed she never recommended gym exercise. Throughout the consultation, she repeatedly made weight-related comments that were insensitive and unprofessional. During the examination, she remarked that my mother's legs were "like dead" and criticized her sedentary job, suggesting it contributed to her condition. She printed some home exercises, seemingly expecting my mother to interrupt her work to perform them. When I requested a sick note due to her inability to move properly and experiencing severe pain, Dominika flatly refused, stating this was merely an "aging health problem". My mother left the surgery in tears, devastated by Dominika's cold, judgmental, and disrespectful treatment. The entire experience was traumatic and showed a complete lack of compassion for a patient suffering from a chronic condition. Absolutely rude, insensitive, and unprofessional.

Frustrating booking system at early morning visit

This practice is absolutely useless and doesn't deserve even a single star rating! After enduring five days of excruciating ear and neck pain, I attempted to use their online booking system, which repeatedly locked me out. Arriving at the surgery precisely when they opened at 8am, I was met with an unhelpful and downright rude receptionist. She insisted I complete a ridiculously lengthy 10+ page online questionnaire before any appointment could be considered. Upon checking their system, she claimed 101 patients were ahead of me, making any immediate appointment virtually impossible. Whatever happened to the simple process of calling and scheduling a visit? Fortunately, I rarely need medical attention and haven't seen a doctor since moving to Grantham three years ago. In sheer desperation, I drove to Grantham A&E, where the staff were exceptional. Within just one hour, I was seen and prescribed antibiotics for my severe ear infection. I have nothing but admiration for the hospital and its staff - a stark contrast to this utterly incompetent medical practice.

I implore you, absolutely do not consider these individuals as your healthcare providers! Attempt to schedule an appointment, and you'll be dismissively told to leave, or receive a bewildering phone call about a blood test you were never informed about, questioning why you're supposedly wasting their medical professionals' time - and this is merely from the receptionist! Their level of service is abysmal; gone are the days of making a phone appointment - now you're required to submit an online request within the absurdly narrow window of 6am to 10am... And now they have the audacity to wonder why the NHS is in such a state of chaos...

Worst reception staff ever at clinic

Zero stars would be too generous. The front desk staff are discourteous, and the medical attention is subpar. Complete disregard for patient dignity. I've never encountered such unprofessionalism before. These employees are clearly not fulfilling their basic duties, and I'm baffled by their continued employment. After initially registering with this practice in April, when I returned in June, my family remained unregistered in their system. The staff demonstrate a total lack of understanding about their core responsibilities.

The medical system is perpetually unavailable, and when attempting to contact them, the receptionist claims they're exclusively handling emergencies. What's the purpose of having a healthcare provider if you can't reach a doctor when necessary? Perhaps it's not a critical situation, but it still requires prompt medical attention, and waiting 48 hours for a diagnosis could potentially be life-threatening. The receptionist should be removed from her position immediately, as she is completely ineffective and displays a condescending attitude. She is absolutely unfit for a customer service role!!!

Clinic's incompetence nearly cost me my limb

The reception team was incredibly unprofessional, displaying a combination of rudeness, superiority, and complete lack of understanding. I wasted three days attempting to communicate and follow up on my request, only to be rewarded with a month-long delay and unnecessary suffering. The ultimate result? The clinic arbitrarily canceled my surgery, claiming my description was incomprehensible. After enduring more than a year of this nightmare, I finally managed to secure a face-to-face consultation with one of the doctors, who immediately recognized the critical nature of my condition. I am now at serious risk of losing my limb due to their initial negligence.

Customer service is terrible ... You ring up and spend ages on hold just to be told they'll only direct you to their online booking page ... I decided to give it a shot ... Hoped to secure an urgent consultation ... FORGET IT, the waiting list stretches out for weeks ... This practice used to be excellent ... Now it's gone downhill ... You're better off contacting the health helpline instead
