An absolutely excellent experience. I've completed the initial assessment process on two occasions and received prompt appointment slots both times. The clinical staff demonstrated outstanding professionalism combined with a warm and approachable manner. I'm genuinely grateful for how quickly I was seen. The standard of care here is significantly better than what I experienced at my former practice.

I felt let down by the current online consultation process required to access GP appointments. I have dealt with mental health challenges over an extended period. When I recently sought assistance and support, I completed the online form but only received a text message response directing me to alternative resources. I found myself missing the more personal approach of direct telephone communication between patient and healthcare provider during times of difficulty. This method of contact felt impersonal and lacking in compassion for someone in distress. Having been a long-term resident of the area, I recall the medical centre providing a higher standard of care previously, and I have noticed a decline in the quality of service since then.

I contacted the surgery in the afternoon regarding my young child's illness. Despite current pressures on the health service, I received a callback within an hour and was able to attend an in-person appointment shortly after, with medication dispensed at the practice. The experience was excellent and reassuring to have access to such capable healthcare locally. Excellent service all round.

Phone appointments felt dismissive and patronising

I have had disappointing experiences at this practice. The reception and nursing team are excellent and provide good support, however my appointments with the clinicians have been frustrating. During consultations, I felt dismissed and as though my concerns were not being taken seriously, both regarding my own health and that of my family members. The approach came across as patronising and dismissive of what I was describing, and it seemed as though there was reluctance to engage properly with the consultation process.

I was very pleased with the attentive and compassionate approach they received during their visits. Email prescriptions delayed over the weekend

This is the second occasion I've submitted a prescription request via email and it hasn't been processed. The receptionist informed me it takes 48 hours to complete, which means I'll be without my fast-acting medication over the weekend. The staff member handling prescription emails was difficult to communicate with and didn't seem to listen properly to my concerns. I was trying to clarify something important about the prescription documentation, but when I attempted to explain, she became dismissive and short with me. The interaction left me feeling frustrated and unheard. I've decided to seek care elsewhere.

What an amazing service! It shouldn't be a lottery about how good your healthcare providers are! I feel so privileged to have my medical centre as my practice. Every clinician and the administrative team give you a personal service and treat you with care and respect. Sadly my parents' medical practice elsewhere has not been as positive an experience. They could learn so much from my practice. Over many years, every healthcare professional at my practice has been brilliant. They all go above and beyond! I highly recommend this medical practice to everybody.

Felt genuinely looked after and supported

If you're registered at this practice, you should appreciate how fortunate you are! I was a patient here for several years and found the team to be excellent, efficient, courteous and professional. Whenever I required their assistance, they consistently delivered quality care and I always felt well supported. I now find myself in a different area and have had cause to seek medical services elsewhere, but I must say the contrast is quite striking. My current local healthcare providers simply don't compare. If you have the privilege of being registered here, you're genuinely with one of the finest practices around.

Reception staff wouldn't help with callback request

The process for obtaining a non-urgent appointment to speak with a GP is deeply frustrating. I contacted the practice at 1420 and asked about arranging a non-urgent callback. The response from reception was that I would need to phone during the 0830-0900 morning window, the same as all other patients. I mentioned that on a previous occasion when I had called, I was number 28 in the queue and waited approximately 35 minutes. My only intention was to discuss matters relating to a recent procedure, and I would have been flexible regarding the timing. When I respectfully raised this concern, I was told "this is our process". This reflects the ongoing difficulty I have experienced with the reception team's approach to patient requests. This situation is wholly unsatisfactory.

Short notice appointments made the difference

Over the last few weeks I have had cause to contact the surgery on a number of occasions regarding an injury I sustained. They have managed to fit me in at short notice, first time seeing a clinician and then a nurse. The service I have received has been excellent. I realise how busy the surgery can be and really appreciate the extra effort they have made to accommodate me. The surgery and its staff deserve full marks!!!
