Long-term patient frustrated by afternoon phone restrictions
I have been a patient at this surgery for nearly 16 years and I have consistently had a positive experience with the clinical staff. The doctors here are exceptionally skilled, compassionate and caring professionals. My only suggestion for improvement would be to reinstate afternoon telephone access for patients. I have needed to use the website contact system, however this presents challenges for me due to physical difficulties that make typing problematic. It is frustrating that telephone calls are restricted to morning hours for non-emergency administrative queries, as having at least one receptionist available during afternoon slots would be beneficial for patients who cannot reliably use the online system. The doctors deserve the highest rating, and the reception team member I have dealt with has been consistently pleasant, approachable and efficient, providing excellent service.

Rushed to surgery without proper diagnostic examination
I was referred directly to a surgeon after reporting breathing difficulties affecting my nose. No diagnostic assessment was performed at my initial appointment, no topical treatments were suggested, and no specialist consultation took place beforehand. The surgeon conducted a brief evaluation and proceeded to remove a significant portion of nasal tissue. Following this procedure, I developed sleep apnea. A decade has passed since the surgery. The condition impacts my daily life negatively and continuously. I believe the intervention was preventable, unjustified, and caused me considerable harm during a time when I was vulnerable.

I find it difficult to understand how this practice receives positive feedback. The reception staff came across as unwelcoming, and I felt ignored while standing at the desk as they conversed with each other without acknowledging my presence. Their approach to their role seemed lacking. If you require urgent medical care, you may find waiting at A&E a preferable alternative to attending this practice. The reception experience was disappointing and discourteous. I hope the clinical staff provide a different standard of service.

I have had reason to visit this practice several times during the past three months and have been very appreciative of the compassion, competence, and assistance shown by all members of the clinical and administrative team. The email-based appointment system works well and I have consistently been offered appointments promptly, with the option of face-to-face consultations with my regular clinician when needed. I have consistently felt heard, supported, and given suitable medical attention and care. I hope my need for frequent visits will decrease in the coming months, but should further appointments be necessary, I feel assured that the practice will continue to deliver the same excellent standard of service. This practice did not meet my expectations. When I attended for a blood test related to chest concerns, I found the reception staff to be unwelcoming and unhelpful. There were no available appointments with a clinician at that time. Overall, the experience was disappointing and left me feeling that patient care was not prioritised. I did not feel valued or well-treated during my visit.
