I attended this practice on only one occasion. The experience was disappointing, with difficulties encountered when attempting to secure an appointment. I really appreciate the medical centre - the reception team are wonderfully welcoming and friendly, and the clinical staff are equally lovely and genuinely attentive to helping however they can. Moving to the area from another city was a significant change, and the care I've received here has been such a positive contrast to my previous experience elsewhere. I contacted the practice in the morning at 8am to request an appointment as I needed to discuss a skin concern and explore allergy testing. I made multiple calls, and on two occasions was told someone would get back to me. However, I did not receive any callback. When I called again the following morning, I was informed that my concern was not considered urgent. I felt frustrated that a decision was made about the severity of my situation without a proper assessment. I was asked to call back the next day. I have been managing my skin symptoms daily with medication for approximately two months, experiencing redness and itching. I was disappointed that the receptionist did not regard this as requiring prompt attention.

The typical waiting period to secure an appointment extends to approximately 19 days, and obtaining an urgent appointment within that same week proved extremely difficult. During a blood test appointment, the healthcare professional experienced difficulty locating a vein on the first attempt. Rather than following standard protocol to refer to hospital services, a second arm was tried without success. The needle was then manipulated within my arm in an attempt to locate a suitable vein. I have since transferred my care to a different practice.
