I have been a patient at this practice for over 25 years and I remain very pleased that I was directed to this surgery. The entire team provides excellent care, including the reception staff, administrative personnel, nursing staff, and clinical practitioners. I appreciate the flexibility of having multiple consultation options available, such as face-to-face appointments, video calls, and telephone consultations, along with the convenience of online booking. If there is one area where my experience could be improved, it would be the quality of interactions during appointments with visiting practitioners.

We find it straightforward to secure an appointment the same day for urgent matters, or within a couple of days for non-urgent issues. Test results are typically reviewed promptly, and the clinical team reaches out immediately if there are any findings that require attention. Given that our family has multiple ongoing health needs, we genuinely appreciate how attentively the practice manages our care, ensuring we receive appropriate referrals and investigations as needed. The staff demonstrate professionalism, compassion and attention to detail throughout, and we feel genuinely supported in our healthcare journey. We have no complaints whatsoever and consider ourselves fortunate to be under their care.

Friendly staff and efficient communication from day one

Recently relocated and transferred my registration from my previous practice to this one. What an improvement!! The communication is highly organised, the approach feels collaborative rather than purely procedural, and the reception team are welcoming. It feels like moving from a mass-production environment to a more bespoke service. And notably, they offered me an in-person initial appointment straight away without requiring online forms or lengthy telephone waits! This standard of care wasn't a factor in my house move, but joining this practice has turned out to be a wonderful unexpected benefit. 👏👍🙏

The clinician has been very responsive to my needs. I completed an online questionnaire regarding my concern during the seasonal break and received a prompt call in response. I was also able to attend an in-person consultation, following which there was a follow-up call to check on my progress. Twice-daily debriefs made learning feel genuinely supported

I had the privilege of working at this practice during my Foundation Programme placement. I felt incredibly well-supported throughout the rotation. The sessions were brilliantly structured, with regular debriefs and formal teaching sessions scheduled consistently. Because of this, I never felt out of my depth, yet I was given excellent learning opportunities to expand my medical knowledge. I always felt safe, but was encouraged to perform to the best of my abilities. A huge thank you to the supervising clinicians for taking the time to teach, the other clinical staff for providing their help and expertise, the administrative staff for helping me with the non-clinical side, and everyone else at the practice. I highly recommend this practice for training and for patients – count yourself lucky if you end up here!

Staff took time to explain procedures thoroughly

Following on from my earlier feedback, I would like to praise the nursing staff on two occasions. Early in 2025 I had a minor lesion removed from my back, and for approximately 10 weeks the nursing team provided consistent wound care with excellent results, leaving minimal scarring. In October, I underwent a respiratory function test lasting around one hour, during which the procedure was explained thoroughly at each stage, instilling considerable confidence. The care provided was exemplary. Since relocating to Buckinghamshire nearly 6 years ago, I have been a patient at the practice in Chalfont St Peter, where I have received care from my GP. Everything about the surgery operates to a high standard, with staff demonstrating a willingness to help at all times. My GP consistently takes time to listen attentively and makes well-considered decisions regarding medication and treatment options. The administrative support also contributes to creating a well-coordinated and efficient service.

I have been registered with the Calcot Medical Centre for more than 30 years. In that time I have received the most excellent care, in every respect, first from one clinician and currently from their successor. Their responsiveness, patience, thoroughness, clarity and communication are remarkable and I am extremely grateful to them both and to the wonderful practice staff as a whole.
