Worst clinic ever terrible service and communication
This clinic is absolutely appalling. Not only must you schedule appointments at the crack of dawn, but they've cancelled all three of my appointments because I've been ill for less than a week or two. Their staff provides contradictory information daily, which only exacerbates my medical situation. I simply need a illness confirmation for my school, yet they've been misleading me for three consecutive days, with completely inconsistent statements. Initially, they claimed they don't issue such confirmations (which makes no sense, given the school's referral), and now they're saying I can obtain the document online, after yesterday telling me I must re-register with a doctor to get it. I've wasted countless emotional energy on what should have been a straightforward process that could have been resolved on Monday. I emphatically recommend steering clear of this clinic, as their level of unprofessionalism and repeated appointment cancellations is absolutely unacceptable.

I suggest utilizing the NHS app for early appointment booking (be flexible with available doctors as their schedules differ). Prescription renewals can't be done via telephone, so you'll need to visit in person, contact your designated pharmacy to submit a request, or use the NHS app, which I highly recommend. The front desk staff are decent from my experience, but mornings are extremely hectic, so I advise waiting until around midday to make phone calls. Most inquiries and requests can be submitted through email or the NHS app if calling reception isn't convenient for you. As someone who experiences anxiety, I prefer avoiding phone interactions, so I rely on the app for GP-related matters and typically receive quick responses, usually within a day or two. Referral processing is notably slow, though this seems to be a broader systemic issue, and you can still request status updates through the app.

I attempted to contact the medical practice twice this morning at 8am. Following a 25-minute wait, the receptionist picked up and abruptly ended the call within 2 seconds, cutting me off mid-sentence. I redialed and endured another 15-minute wait. The same receptionist answered, and when I said hello and they asked how they could help, they again immediately terminated the call. I found this incredibly frustrating, especially since it seemed like they had acknowledged my presence. The surgery is well aware of their extensive morning phone wait times. It's incomprehensible why they would not even allow patients a moment to communicate before disconnecting. Their conduct was extremely unprofessional, and it genuinely felt like a deliberate attempt to avoid assisting patients.

I strongly recommend steering clear of this medical practice if possible. Their service is incredibly frustrating and occasionally borders on reckless. They consistently make referrals for incorrect patients and order unnecessary medical investigations. Naturally, no apology is forthcoming when these errors are highlighted. Promised referrals frequently go unmade, with zero communication about the status. Booking an appointment seems nearly impossible for anyone with employment, while simultaneously holding long-term medications hostage if you don't schedule a consultation. Their expectations seem unreasonable - are patients supposed to take an entire day off just on the chance a slot might be available when calling at 8am? And if no slot exists, are you expected to repeat this process daily? Their online system is equally problematic, often being unavailable for weeks. When you finally secure an appointment, you're given a 4-hour window for a potential GP call, with the doctor frequently calling outside those designated times. While I understand GPs are overworked and appreciate their challenging schedules, it's absurd to require patients to clear half a day for a brief 10-15 minute consultation. Furthermore, should you accidentally miss their unpredictable call, you'll receive a patronizing message demanding you restart the entire scheduling process from scratch.

Getting in touch with them is challenging, but once you do, the service is decent. Their NHS app appointment system is non-functional, perpetually displaying "no appointments available to book online at this time". When I phone to inquire, they suggest using the app, but I point out they've disabled it, to which they deflect responsibility, claiming "we didn't create the app". Frustrating. Before I can even describe my medical concern, they dismiss me with a blanket "we're full" response. Utterly unacceptable. Completely unsatisfactory.

Recently, when I called about a prescription issue due to manufacturing problems, I received a dismissive "I'll message someone, OK?", and was forced to persistently ask follow-up questions just to understand what was happening. Their communication is so poor that I was left completely uncertain about the resolution or next steps. They appear utterly indifferent to patient concerns, prioritizing getting off the phone over providing genuine assistance. In another instance, when inquiring about holiday vaccines, the receptionist cut me off mid-sentence with "we don't do that here, OK?", and was about to hang up before I urgently requested more information about where I could obtain these vaccines.
