Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a practice facing significant operational challenges that substantially impact patient access and experience. The most persistent issue across reviews is appointment availability and booking difficulties, with patients reporting persistent phone system failures, long waiting times to connect, and frequent inability to secure consultations. Reception experience emerges as problematic, with multiple accounts of discourteous staff and poor communication. Patients also describe challenges with medication management, including delayed prescription processing and inconsistent renewal policies, alongside concerns about lack of continuity of care and insufficient staffing levels.

Despite these systemic access and administrative issues, the clinical care provided by medical professionals receives consistent positive recognition. Patients frequently commend doctors and nursing staff for demonstrating compassion, attentiveness, and thorough consultation practices, with several noting that the quality of care when finally accessed makes the effort worthwhile. Some patients specifically praise individual practitioners for their supportive demeanor and reassurance during consultations.

The contrast between positive clinical experiences and negative operational service suggests the practice's core challenge lies in organisational systems and resource capacity rather than clinical competence. Patients express frustration that access barriers prevent them from receiving the quality care that staff are capable of delivering, with some indicating they have sought alternative providers due to the difficulty in obtaining appointments and managing ongoing medication needs.

Deadly delays at gp practice avoid at all costs

The medical practice is an absolute nightmare. Their phone lines are perpetually jammed, and after three weeks of relentless attempts—over 1,500 calls between my partner and me at various hours and days—we've been unable to connect even a single time. I'm personally aware of a young patient at this surgery who suffered a fatal outcome from a condition that should have been treatable, despite repeated attempts to raise concerns. My advice is clear: if you're currently registered with this GP, find another practice immediately. And if you're considering registering here, steer clear at all costs. This could quite literally be a matter of life and death.

Frustrating communication with unhelpful customer service

I've had two frustrating interactions with an aggressive female representative who speaks with a non-native English accent. The first incident occurred several weeks back about a prescription renewal, and today she called me directly seeking to speak with my partner. When I tried explaining that I couldn't immediately locate her contact details, she appeared completely uncomprehending. I strongly recommend that management send this employee to a customer communication training program or something comparable to improve her interpersonal skills.

Frustrating healthcare experience with terrible reception

I've spent countless attempts trying to reach them - 224 calls in just an hour - and it's clear they have no respect for working professionals' time. The reception staff are incredibly incompetent, and despite having multiple employees, they can barely manage to keep more than one phone line operational. Their complete lack of effort to actually assist patients is frustrating, especially considering this is literally their job. After being a loyal patient for a quarter-century, I'm finally switching healthcare providers. This place is absolutely ridiculous. The only saving grace is that the doctors themselves are competent, but good luck actually getting to see or speak with one.

Frustrating medical service with endless phone struggles

The medical practice has deteriorated significantly since the pandemic began. Attempting to contact the surgery by phone is a frustrating ordeal, with lines constantly busy and seemingly only one line functioning. It takes an exasperating 2-3 hours just to get through, and when you finally do, you're connected with a doctor who is unfamiliar with your medical background. The phone system desperately needs improvement, and calls must be answered more efficiently. Patients have far more important matters to attend to than wasting hours trying to reach their general practitioner, especially when told to call back in two weeks.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical care nightmare

This surgical procedure is absolutely terrible beyond description. Their phone lines are perpetually engaged, and when you miraculously secure an appointment, you're met with two unsatisfactory options: either reschedule or endure an endless wait because apparently their patients have nothing better to do than sit around while the staff runs behind schedule.

Frustrating double booking ruins my flu jab plan

I scheduled my Flu vaccination approximately three weeks in advance for Monday, December 13th, but was unexpectedly contacted by the medical practice yesterday, requesting to reschedule due to their alleged "double booking" issue. This inconvenience is clearly not of my making. Incompetent healthcare facility... They can't even manage a simple appointment correctly.

Terrible service and impossible to reach medical staff

This surgical practice is an absolute nightmare. Attempting to schedule an appointment is futile, with their phone perpetually engaged from morning opening until closing time. It's not just a one-off occurrence, but a daily frustration. Getting a return call from a physician seems completely impossible. A massive thanks for providing absolutely zero assistance whatsoever. Your best bet is to dial emergency services, or risk being left in a critical condition. I deeply lament ever signing up with this practice and strongly advise against anyone making the same error. You will undoubtedly rue the day you chose them. This is an absolute guarantee!!!!

Frustrating phone system ruins patient experience

I've spent more than a quarter of an hour attempting to reach the doctor's office by phone, and each attempt results in a busy signal with no connection. I've even tried using different phones, yet the outcome remains the same. The staff are genuinely pleasant when you finally manage to speak with them. However, actually getting through to the surgery is an ongoing challenge, and every time I've needed to contact them, it's been a frustrating struggle to make contact.

Frustrating phone system blocks patient from care

Getting an appointment by phone with the medical practice is absolutely ridiculous. It's impossible to get through, and I desperately need to see my own doctor. I'm completely frustrated with this situation. I'll persistently keep attempting to schedule an appointment and I need one urgently. I don't understand why I should be forced to go to a walk-in clinic when my regular doctor's office is just a short distance from my home.

Frustrating experience with unresponsive medical practice

I typically have no issues with this medical practice, but on June 24th, I encountered significant difficulties scheduling an appointment. I attempted to call nine times throughout the morning before they finally answered. When I explained my need to book a consultation, they instructed me to call back at 3 PM. Upon doing so, I again dialed nine times and was informed that no appointments were available. Frustrated by this experience, I ultimately sought treatment at the local pharmacy. Even today, I made eight attempts to contact the surgery, and still, no one picked up the phone.
