Frustrating foot care and dismissive doctors

I had been a patient at this practice for several years. While the senior partner I saw multiple times was acceptable, scheduling appointments was consistently challenging. During my April 2025 visit for an extremely painful foot, seeking a steroid injection, I was seen by another partner who expressed reluctance to administer steroid injections in primary care. He claimed he would email a fact sheet about my condition, despite my attempts to explain I had previously received such treatment. He appeared disinterested in my input. Upon reviewing my medical record, I discovered the doctor had documented that he had thoroughly explained why an injection was not possible. When I called to seek a second opinion, I was told there would be another three-week wait. Upon explaining my situation, I was aggressively reprimanded and told I was not permitted to bypass the queue. I responded that I would find alternative medical care and ended the call. The receptionist subsequently logged her version of events in my record. I ultimately found another doctor who promptly provided the injection I required.

Unhappy Patient

I had a worsening pain in my right foot from January, I did not want to see a GP as I was already on a long waiting list for arthritis treatment but as things were getting worse I rang to make an appointment. I explained I was in bad pain and was offered an appointment in 3 weeks time. I managed to reduce this by a couple of days by agreeing to see another doctor who I had already experienced problems from. On the day of the appointment the pain was very bad. The examination cursory. The doctor said he would send me a fact sheet about the condition which he did. The doctor stated he would not be prepared to supply an NHS cortisone injection and he didn't like doing them. The appointment took about 2 minutes after a nearly 3 week wait. I held my temper and later that day rang again to ask to see my own doctor, I explained the situation and was told 3 more weeks wait. When I complained the receptionist moaned about my already seeing a doctor and inferred I was trying to break the que for treatment. I said I would have to try and find another doctor and the put down the phone as I felt that this person was trying to bait me into losing my temper.

Rude receptionist ruined my doctor visit

Hello. I'm deeply frustrated by the treatment I received from an employee named Fiona. I'm currently under the care of Dr. Pesket, who is truly an exceptional physician. However, I'm dealing with challenging personal circumstances. This staff member essentially informed me that I cannot receive care at the clinic because I'm residing in temporary housing in Swanage, and her approach was extremely discourteous. Given my difficulties with interpersonal communication, her manner of speaking caused me significant emotional distress. A sincere apology would be greatly appreciated.

Mum's health ignored by uncaring doctors

Utterly disgusted by this appalling treatment. My mother is enduring severe challenges, both physically and mentally. She has consulted two separate medical professionals at different facilities, yet neither seems to acknowledge her concerns. She's consistently dismissed, and each instance triggers a distressing episode for her. I intend to alert the media, and should any harm come to her, these doctors will bear the responsibility. She's already under immense stress, and the last thing she needs is the NHS failing her. I am profoundly disappointed and deeply upset. She has a family who is genuinely worried about her health and well-being, but once again, no one is willing to listen or take her seriously.
