After being told I must attend two separate appointments for my prescription. I was told that the two previous appointments had not been documented with respect to my new prescription. Therefore I needed to attend a third appointment. Shocking incompetence.

Frustrating health service with poor appointment system

Rapid Health's service is abysmal. Their online appointment booking is non-existent. Patients are forced to either rush to the emergency department or endure a frustrating two-day wait for a doctor's response. It's clear the A&E is completely overwhelmed. I personally called and was assured I would receive a call or email within two days with appointment details, which only adds to the inefficiency.

Since moving to the Isle of Wight a year ago, I registered with The Bay Medical Practice in Shanklin as my new healthcare provider. My medical situation is somewhat intricate, requiring careful medication management across multiple conditions. I cannot speak highly enough of the Doctors, Nurses, and entire staff at this practice. Despite recent operational changes aimed at improving patient care, the level of compassion and support I've received remains exceptional. Their administrative team is truly outstanding, efficiently handling numerous tasks that would otherwise burden the GPs. Appointment scheduling is seamless, diagnostic processes are rapid and precise, and medication adjustments are scientifically based on test results. When tests are completed, they either schedule follow-up appointments automatically or provide clear guidance on the next steps of treatment. Their performance has been remarkable, and I am sincerely appreciative. Based on my personal experience, I would unequivocally rate The Bay Medical Practice as excellent.
