Compassionate care meets patient needs with ease

I initially contacted the clinic regarding my Achilles tendon issues, and a physician from Shanklin promptly reached out to schedule an appointment in Sandown. During my visit yesterday, I met a wonderful female professional who explained my condition and initiated a referral. The young gentleman at the front desk was incredibly supportive, especially since this was my first time at the practice. Having relocated here in November, I've found the entire staff to be consistently warm, competent, efficient, and courteous. I'm thoroughly impressed, particularly given the challenges posed by the pandemic.

If there were a rating below the minimum... What should have been a straightforward medication refill, already authorized by the doctor, became an unnecessarily complex ordeal that squandered the time and resources of the medical staff, pharmacists, and the patient.

Frustrating phone call with unhelpful medical staff

When calling a medical practice, one anticipates a reception that, while perhaps not overly enthusiastic, should at minimum be courteous. Think again. Following a 40-minute wait before the call was picked up, the staff member I encountered appeared singularly focused on being as unhelpful and difficult as she could possibly be.

Prescription Nightmare Leaves Elderly Patient Frustrated

Encountered a critical problem with my elderly mother's (88) medication processing, which left her without vital prescriptions. Despite an agreement to issue a replacement script to a nearby pharmacy, complications arose. When I went to collect the medication, no prescription was available. My first attempt to contact the medical practice resulted in a 35-minute call that was abruptly terminated. The second call took 25 minutes before being answered by a staff member who displayed complete indifference and apparent resentment about addressing their own administrative mistake. While I understand current healthcare challenges, there is absolutely no justification for such prolonged wait times and substandard customer service, particularly when the error originates from their office. A simple apology and genuine commitment to resolving the issue would have been the bare minimum professional response.

Arrived punctually. Attempted to use hand sanitizer, but found the dispenser vacant. Brought this to the attention of the front desk personnel, who dismissively stated it was the cleaning staff's responsibility. As a result, the sanitizer remained unfilled, rendering it unusable until the cleaner's return.

Endless queue and musak madness drive customer crazy

Endured a tedious 20-minute auditory ordeal of low-quality background music, reminiscent of someone trudging through a swamp, while repeatedly being told I'm third in line. Eventually reaching the coveted first position, I was met with a brief moment of hope before the call tone sounded. After four minutes of anticipatory waiting, the connection abruptly terminated, unceremoniously dumping me back to the first spot in the queue, once again serenaded by the murky, uninspired soundtrack 😕. I acknowledge that Covid has presented significant challenges, but their telecommunications infrastructure desperately needs modernization. Despite the frustrating experience, I must commend the receptionist who was genuinely helpful once contact was finally established, and I sincerely hope these systemic issues are resolved promptly.

Unacceptable customer service leaves patient frustrated and hopeless

After being placed on hold for a staggering 40 minutes, I attempted to notify the surgery about my sister's passing, but no one would answer the phone. The experience was so frustrating that I felt completely defeated and hopeless. Their complete lack of responsiveness is absolutely appalling!!!!! Utterly unacceptable 😡😡
