The follow-up care has been quite disappointing. There seems to be inconsistency between different clinicians. I find myself having to repeat my full medical background at each visit because the records don't appear to be sufficiently detailed. This is a significant step down from my previous practice, which unfortunately relocated.

Reception refused to prioritise sick infant
I would rate this practice much lower if possible. I have recently relocated from another area where I received significantly better care. I was unable to get an appointment for my infant who had a fever, as the practice stated they had no available emergency slots for several days. I felt that a young child with this symptom should have been seen more promptly. On multiple occasions, I was directed to contact 111 instead of having the practice arrange for clinical advice or a callback from a clinician, which would have allowed for appropriate guidance and medication if needed.

Reception turned away mental health concerns without empathy
I attended an appointment today while experiencing significant emotional distress and a history of mental health concerns. Although I came in to discuss a respiratory infection, I also felt it was important to raise mental health matters during the visit. I was informed that these concerns could not be addressed in the current appointment and that I would need to schedule a separate session to discuss them further. I found this response deeply disappointing and felt a lack of compassion in how my situation was handled. I was troubled by the suggestion that I should leave without having the opportunity to discuss my wellbeing, particularly given my vulnerable state at that time. I felt the approach taken fell short of the care and understanding I would have expected to receive. The overall experience has left me feeling let down by the level of support offered during what was a difficult moment.

Online booking makes appointments easy to arrange
I've always had a good experience with this GP surgery. The clinical staff in particular have always been very compassionate, caring and provided sound advice, and referrals were very efficient. The reception team were also very prompt and helpful. I always booked my appointments in advance using the online services and appointments are usually available the following week with different time slots throughout the day. I can't comment on the availability of urgent appointments or booking over the phone. I would recommend this surgery and I'm very sad to be leaving the area and the surgery.
