Frustrating healthcare experience with endless bureaucratic hurdles

I've been a patient at this practice my entire life, but over the past year, the quality of care has drastically deteriorated. Securing a doctor's appointment has become nearly impossible, and the recent process for obtaining repeat prescriptions was absurdly complicated. I was driven to the point of purchasing medication from Spain! I endured three separate telephone consultations with different nurses for medication reviews. Even the nurses seemed bewildered by the convoluted procedure. When I attempted to seek clarification from the receptionists, they simply insisted these steps were essential. Moreover, if you're employed full-time and need an appointment after 4pm, you'll be treated as though you're making unreasonable demands.

If they're truly dissatisfied with their role, they should consider alternative employment. The online communication system works well, offering prompt responses to inquiries, but the waiting time to actually see a doctor can stretch to three weeks, which is incredibly annoying. Moreover, if you're dealing with multiple health concerns, you're essentially out of luck - such is the current state of healthcare nowadays.

What a complete mockery of medical care My 66-year-old mother-in-law, battling Type 2 Diabetes, has been persistently coughing since before January. She's struggling to maintain her diabetic diet and is unable to get restful sleep or breathe comfortably. Meanwhile, this so-called 'medical practice' thinks it's acceptable to make her wait an entire month for a doctor's appointment!! Since when did receptionists become qualified to make medical judgments?!?! They ruthlessly pressure patients into tolerating these absurd waiting periods.

Terrible service for vulnerable patient with cancer

The front desk staff displayed an appalling lack of empathy. My mother-in-law is battling esophageal cancer, suffering from painful mouth sores and ulcers, and is currently immobilized after a fall. She completed a course of antibiotics, and her doctor advised her to contact them if her condition doesn't improve. However, the receptionist was dismissive, suggesting that an appointment might or might not be granted, depending on triage assessment. Throughout our interaction, she continuously cut me off and demonstrated an incredibly unprofessional attitude. I've never encountered such a dismal level of customer service. We remain completely in the dark about whether she'll receive a follow-up call, a home visit, or any form of medical attention. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Negligent doctors almost cost me my health

These have got to be the most INCOMPETENT medical professionals ever, I swear on everything. Initially, they dismissed my condition as a mere common cold, but I ultimately found myself hospitalized because it was actually a severe sinus infection that also sparked a terrible ear infection called labyrnthitis. The hospital prescribed me antibiotics and advised me to follow up with my regular doctor if symptoms persist - which is ridiculous considering how utterly indifferent these doctors are towards their patients and how they refuse to even schedule an appointment. To make matters worse, their front desk staff are incredibly discourteous and unhelpful - the entire situation is completely ABSURD!

The entire staff at Beeches Medical Centre have been Exceptional. From the Physicians and nursing staff to the Receptionists, Administrative personnel, and Cathy the Pharmacist. I've been navigating an incredibly challenging period spanning nearly two years. The support I've received from the whole team has been extraordinary. Doctor Williamson, in particular, has been incredibly attentive to my needs. Beyond the immense support during my husband's illness, and subsequently after losing him, she has guided me towards external support networks. Without Dr Williamson's help, I would not have developed the resilience I possess today. I feel truly fortunate to be cared for by this Remarkable team. My deepest gratitude to each and every one of you.
