Absolute unprofessionalism defines this medical practice. The personnel display a dismissive and discourteous attitude, and the healthcare providers (who barely deserve that title) consistently fail to process referrals, even after being explicitly instructed by specialist physicians. On two separate occasions, I was assured 'the GP will submit the referral' and both times, it was carelessly overlooked. This pattern of medical negligence is not an isolated incident, and I am relieved we no longer fall within their service area. I am committed to filing a formal complaint with the appropriate regulatory body and strongly urge others experiencing similar treatment to do the same. It is crucial to persistently follow up on your referrals and maintain unwavering diligence until you receive written confirmation of their processing.

Terrible medical care that caused unnecessary suffering
Completely appalled by this medical facility's treatment of my mother post-hip replacement, leaving her without pain relief and forcing us to endure a lengthy phone queue tomorrow. When my father passed away in March 2025, the physician neglected to forward his details to the medical examiner. The front desk staff display zero concern or understanding. I'm thankful my personal doctors are competent, but I would absolutely never suggest this surgical experience to anyone. These healthcare professionals are supposed to demonstrate compassion and empathy, yet there's not a trace of it here. Absolutely unacceptable.

Compassionate care for my elderly mother's health
My elderly mother, aged 87 and battling vascular dementia, developed some health complications including infections and a heel wound. The staff, from the welcoming reception team to Dr. Barton, were incredibly responsive, arranging a same-day nurse consultation and quickly providing referrals to additional medical specialists. The continuous support we received during this challenging time was truly invaluable. Happily, my mother is now on a positive path to healing. My interaction with the surgery has been somewhat satisfactory, but lately, the receptionist's attitude has been disappointingly unhelpful and lacking compassion. As someone who works in a medical practice, I understand that receptionists should be trained to assist patients with empathy, yet here it seems nearly impossible to secure a GP appointment due to the staff's obstructive approach. While I typically use the NHS app, on the rare occasions I've needed to call for my children's appointments, the reception staff have been dismissive, interrupting me and failing to listen to the underlying concerns. Having insider knowledge of how appointment systems operate, I strongly believe these staff members require additional training in empathy and patient communication. I am not one to submit negative feedback lightly, but after my recent experience of being denied an appointment for my daughter's test results—despite clear evidence of her anaemia—on my third attempt, I feel compelled to share my frustration.

If I could award zero rating points, I absolutely would. My urgent need to consult a physician in person was immediately dismissed when I was informed all slots were occupied. Upon requesting the earliest possible consultation, I learned their policy restricted face-to-face bookings to a single month's window, requiring patients to call precisely when new appointments are released. This process turned into an absurdly competitive experience reminiscent of a survival contest. Ultimately, I remained unsuccessful in securing either an in-person or telephone appointment, despite diligently calling at 8am sharp. The chances of successfully scheduling seemed as random and unlikely as winning a lottery.

I called to schedule a medical consultation after transferring from another NHS practice, seeking a prescription refill and doctor's appointment. (Apparently, seeing a physician is only possible in three months if I'm lucky!) Throughout the conversation, the receptionist continuously interrupted me, rushed through the interaction, and showed no interest in listening to my concerns. I felt like I was fighting just to complete a single sentence. To my surprise, I learned that booking a doctor's appointment requires navigating their website and hoping to secure a slot, as the receptionist warned that available times would be gone by midday and there's a three-week waiting period. She repeatedly directed me to the website, implying I couldn't comprehend her instructions. I deeply regret joining this practice, as I was left feeling humiliated, talked down to, and completely dismissed.
