This is my local medical practice and there is always a warm and friendly welcome. The staff do their utmost to be helpful and utilise their experience. I wouldn't change to any other doctors now.

Dismissed repeatedly despite persistent symptoms and concerns

I cannot recommend this surgery based on my experience over the past two years. I attended on several occasions regarding the same persistent health concern, yet was repeatedly informed that there were no issues identified and that my test results appeared within expected parameters, even though my symptoms continued and impacted my daily life. Following the lack of progress through the practice, I pursued private testing at my own expense, which revealed that my results were notably outside the expected range and corresponded directly to the health concern I had consistently raised. This has led to two years of avoidable stress, discomfort, and disappointment that might have been prevented had my concerns been thoroughly assessed from the outset. I have consulted with multiple clinicians at this practice and experienced a similar pattern of dismissiveness on each occasion, which is troubling. It should not be necessary to pay for private care simply to have concerns acknowledged and to obtain an accurate assessment and appropriate treatment.

My husband required an urgent appointment that was arranged promptly, and we were seen within a couple of hours by a clinician who was wonderful with both of us, taking care to check that we were both doing well. I have consistently experienced excellent service from all staff members at this practice throughout my many decades as a patient. While the team has naturally evolved over the years, the current staff have shown us considerable kindness and compassion as we have gotten older. Thank you.

I had a scheduled appointment in the morning and arrived several minutes early. However, I experienced a significant wait of around 45 minutes past my appointment time. During this period, I observed numerous other patients arriving after me and being called through relatively quickly, which was frustrating. When I enquired at reception about the delay, I was simply advised to continue waiting. Unfortunately, due to other commitments I needed to attend to, I was unable to remain at the practice any longer and had to leave without being seen.

The reception team's demeanor often comes across as unwelcoming and unhelpful, which detracts from the overall experience. The service falls well short of expectations.

Took multiple appointments before finally being listened to

When I first registered two years ago, I felt the practice was excellent. However, over the past year, the standard of care has been inconsistent. It took several appointments before my concerns were properly addressed. Following an initial investigation that took months, I continued to experience ongoing issues. I was subsequently informed of a diagnosis and told I would receive a specialist referral. When I returned today with persistent pain, I felt dismissed and left without adequate support or pain relief. I was also made aware during this visit that there were actually two cysts rather than one, with one having ruptured. I'm concerned this is a serious matter, yet I wasn't informed of this when the results were communicated to me weeks earlier. Additionally, I'm worried there may be another cyst developing. The condition was documented as minor in my records, which doesn't reflect the severity of my symptoms or the level of pain I'm experiencing. I was advised to take over-the-counter painkillers and sent home, despite having previously mentioned that these medications cause stomach irritation and nausea. I was encouraged to continue taking them regardless, even though they're ineffective. Given how frequently I'm taking them, I'm concerned about potential tolerance issues. The lack of understanding regarding my individual needs has been distressing, particularly as I also manage anxiety, and this experience has significantly affected my wellbeing. I submitted a formal complaint some time ago, but it appears it may not have been properly reviewed. While the reception staff are welcoming and the clinical team are personable, some staff members seem to lack understanding of my specific health concerns.
