Inconsistent care and gatekeeping at reception

My time at this medical practice has been somewhat variable. There are certainly some encouraging aspects, though there are also matters that could be enhanced. On the positive side, several practitioners here demonstrate genuine attentiveness and compassion. They make an effort to hear what you have to say and offer appropriate advice. That said, the variability in the standard of care is troubling, and I've had interactions with some practitioners who seemed dismissive of my concerns, which has made me hesitant about booking appointments with certain individuals or seeking care when needed. I have also encountered what felt like restrictive gatekeeping behaviour from the reception team.

Dismissed concerns about son's health complications

My son required assistance, but after being asked not to contact our previous practice, we transferred here. The clinician at our new practice assured us that complications would not occur, while another clinician indicated that the medication prescribed had been appropriate, attributing the situation to anxiety. We had been with both practices for an extended period. It felt unnecessary to be treated this way during such a challenging time.

Helpful staff couldn't make up for dismissive consultation

The clinical staff and nursing team are fantastic and deserve better compensation. However, my experience with one particular clinician was disappointing, as the consultation felt impersonal and mechanical rather than engaging and attentive.
