Terrible medical experience with incompetent physician associates

My surgical experience has been deeply disappointing due to physician associates who appear incompetent and uninformed. It feels increasingly challenging to communicate with actual doctors nowadays. This sentiment is shared not just by me, but also by my relatives. Previously, the service was excellent when using ASKMYGP, but now they've switched to WhatsApp. I find this transition unprofessional, frustrating, and inefficient, especially considering how user-friendly and streamlined the previous platform was, where we could easily track and review past requests with remarkable convenience and speed.

Prescription chaos strikes again with poor communication

I'm utterly exasperated and let down. After submitting a prescription request more than seven days ago, I discovered at the pharmacy that no documentation had been received from my doctor. This recurring issue has become a persistent problem every single time I seek a prescription. The pharmacy staff are evidently negligent in their responsibilities. There's a total absence of effective communication and proactive follow-through, leaving me constantly having to track down and resolve matters that should be managed seamlessly. The level of service is entirely unacceptable and deeply frustrating.

Terrible service and zero compassion for patients

Misleading marketing tactics lure patients with claims of superior healthcare, but the reality falls far short. I've experienced nothing but frustration when attempting to obtain medication for my children's psoriasis. Emails go unanswered, and the staff display a complete lack of compassion, failing to address complaints adequately. Despite leaving my long-standing GP practice, I'm rapidly losing confidence in this healthcare provider. I cannot in good conscience suggest this medical center to anyone seeking reliable care.

Apalling Practice

I’ve been with The Brooke Surgery for 12 months and sadly, my experience has been consistently poor. The practice seems overstretched, making it virtually impossible to see a GP. I had a urine sample go missing after being told twice it was sent to the lab — it wasn’t. As a menopausal woman, the level of care I’ve received has been especially poor. I felt so let down by the lack of support that I had no choice but to pay for a private menopause specialist. I currently nee help for a UTI, I was told I wouldn’t be seen at the surgery and was referred to a pharmacy instead who I’m still waiting to hear back from. To dismiss this kind of issue as a “minor ailment” shows a real lack of understanding. If you're in constant pain, have a temperature, and need to take time off work, which not everyone can afford it doesn’t feel minor at all. The lack of consideration for women's health is incredibly disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice. Their self-promotion does not reflect the level of care they actually provide. I’ll be looking for a new GP surgery that takes women’s health seriously and offers a basic standard of accessible care.

Great healthcare and friendly staff at brooke surgery

I switched to the Brooke surgery after experiencing poor treatment from my previous healthcare provider, and I'm thoroughly impressed. They've been incredibly supportive, competent, and their service is outstanding. I can get same-day phone consultations, with prescriptions immediately sent to my preferred pharmacy. Booking appointments with my GP is straightforward and convenient, and getting blood tests scheduled is quick and efficient. The staff are welcoming, helpful, and go above and beyond to assist patients. Despite living outside their typical catchment area, I've found this surgery to be significantly superior to my previous local practice.
