Good Practice

Extremely painful Right hand . On this occasion I felt should have been S/B a Dr. Spoke with PA who prescribed pain relief , pain relief gel, Referral to MSK which took approx 4 weeks. Had to go to Walk in Centre. Dr said he would inform My GP re sorting out xray, bloods etc I was worried I had septic Arthritis. On this occasion I felt let down until I eventually saw Dr Malik. She was great on the Ball with prompt care to refer me to A/E where I was assured it was not Septic Arthritis but a Flare up from Arthritis in my hand. Was told I was referred to MSK for help with advice & possible Exercises for my hand as being Right handed affected my ability to do anything to look after myself ADL/s & everything that I needed to use my right hand for. I am 72 yrs old. Am still waiting on the Msk but its to late now . It appears The Brooke Surgery is short staffed but on the whole a good practice & all the staff are kind , & helpful as best they can .

The best GP practice around !

Having lived in different areas of Greater Manchester and experienced many GP surgeries, we moved to Hyde in 2023 and registered with the Brooke Surgery. Since becoming patients of the Brooke Surgery, we have nothing but praise for all the staff, (doctors, clinicians, nurses and administration staff) for all our healthcare needs.

Blood test

Blood tests taken quickly and efficiently. Follow up phone consultation didn't explain anything regarding iron deficiency. And whether it is still an issue from 12 months previously. I went for several tests but no information since.

Very good practice service

Im fairly sure their reviews are bought!

Do Not Trust this surgery!! They do not care about you! They cant even complete repeat prescription requests! They fail in basic care management! They fail to care! I have been with this surgery a year now and today is my last day! Do not do as i did and believe the positive reviews. Instead look for the real reports of actual care not just poisitive ones pushed to the top!

Fabulous practice

The Brooke Surgery deserves huge credit for their improvements. The new appointment system is excellent. I get seen much faster and by the right specialist immediately. Terrible service

So disappointed in the service given by Rezwana Akhtar today. Reception staff are super helpful, respectful and understanding. However this cannot be said for Rezwana. Rezwana does not appear to be trained in communication with people with autism in my opinion. Rude, did not listen, did not read my history, kept interrupting, so much so that I had to disconnect the call which also led to a severe meltdown. So, so disappointed in the service. If you have autism, do not join brooke surgery.

Frustrating decline in patient care and communication

I've been a patient at Brooke Surgery for several years, and they were previously excellent at scheduling appointments, particularly for children. However, over the past year, their service has significantly deteriorated. Communication is now challenging, with everything routed through Chatdoc. When trying to follow up on my daughter's blood test results, I'm receiving cryptic messages indicating we need to discuss the findings, yet the earliest available telephone consultation is nearly two weeks out.

Disappointing decline from great covid-era healthcare service

I've been a patient here for a long time. Throughout the pandemic, they implemented an incredible platform called AskmyGP where you could complete a straightforward form, and it was practically certain that a healthcare professional would reach out to you the same day for issues manageable via telephone. Currently, they've transitioned to a terrible automated chat system on WhatsApp, and if you're fortunate, you might secure a phone consultation within seven days. I absolutely cannot endorse this practice any longer and will be actively seeking alternative medical providers.
