I phoned this afternoon around 4pm and was quickly connected within five minutes. They suggested I come in at 5pm. As anticipated, there was a slight wait towards the end of the day, but I was heading home by 6pm. I was genuinely impressed, and every staff member I interacted with was incredibly kind, with the Doctor being particularly gentle with my young child and offering me reassuring support. I'm disappointed I can't recall his name. I'm also truly appreciative that new patients receive a comprehensive health assessment, which is something I've never experienced at any previous medical practice. While I hope I won't require frequent medical attention, I would feel completely confident seeking care here if needed.

Scheduling an appointment here is incredibly challenging, and once you finally get one, you feel pressured and hurried. The staff lacks warmth and professionalism. My entire consultation lasted barely five minutes, and when I attempted to discuss my ongoing health issues in more detail, I was abruptly silenced and instructed to book another appointment. I understand they're busy, but their approach is unacceptable. Fortunately, I've relocated from Burnham and now receive care from a practice that genuinely operates with competence. In fairness, there was one younger doctor, seemingly in training, who stood out as compassionate and friendly - he deserves recognition. Otherwise, you'd be better off consulting a witch doctor or seeking divine intervention, because this medical practice is an absolute nightmare.

Amazing healthcare in a small town surgery
After decades of loyalty to our previous physician, my wife and I felt quite anxious when relocating to Burnham on Crouch six months ago and needing to find a new medical practice. We carefully studied all available reviews and ultimately chose The Burnham Surgery, despite numerous critical remarks. To our pleasant surprise, our experience has been nothing short of excellent! The staff here are truly exceptional - from the courteous and supportive reception team to the compassionate and professional nurses and doctors. I cannot emphasize enough how crucial it is to request an alternative GP if you're scheduled with him. His standard of medical care is utterly inadequate. Your treatment of myself and my daughter has been utterly disrespectful and discriminatory. We both have disabilities that you have blatantly disregarded. You have also violated the Military Covenant Act. Expect an official communication from the Matron at Help for Heroes, under whose support I am registered. Your complete failure to provide adequate assistance is inexcusable. You now have my undivided attention and full determination to address this injustice. Worst doctor ever beware of dangerous medical advice
Absolutely appalling care from Dr. Rahman, who demonstrates a complete lack of concern for patient welfare and a fundamental misunderstanding of pharmaceutical treatments! How else can one explain advising a patient to take essential daily medication "intermittently" supposedly to manage side effects, when such an approach would actually exacerbate those very side effects? Overall, the doctor comes across as extremely unprofessional, aggressive, and potentially hazardous. At minimum, they should be disciplined or required to undergo comprehensive retraining. An utterly dangerous healthcare provider!!

Worst doctor ever terrible healthcare experience
I was treated absolutely terribly by Dr. Rahman!! I sought help for depression, anxiety, and panic attacks, only to have him LOOM over me the entire appointment, staring at me like I was completely stupid. Despite recommendations from independent mental health therapists to discuss an autism assessment, I had to fight tooth and nail just to receive the necessary forms! When he finally agreed to provide them, he sarcastically remarked that I wouldn't be accepted anyway because I couldn't pay privately and they wouldn't fund me!! I'm convinced my forms will end up in the trash when I submit them!! His bedside manner was utterly appalling, dramatically gesturing and patronizing me. This man has no business being a doctor!! Update - I returned later, having had only around 6 hours of sleep in 5 days due to medication side effects. Being cautious about prescription medications, I requested melatonin, a NATURAL body hormone for sleep, instead of an addictive sleeping aid. Dr. Rahman claimed only hospitals prescribe it - which was completely false. The pharmacy confirmed I could obtain it through my GP, and when I asked the receptionist to follow up, she said he told her only a secondary care provider could prescribe. So why could he prescribe antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication? When I asked how to address my sleep issues, he bizarrely suggested taking my DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY MEDICATIONS INTERMITTENTLY?!!?!?!! I expressed my discomfort, having been explicitly warned by the hospital never to alter my medication, and further research confirmed this advice was nonsensical. This is an absolutely disgraceful practice, and I've filed a formal complaint and will be escalating this matter. Dr. Rahman has dangerously compromised my mental health.

My dad and I encountered an identical situation where, upon describing our symptoms, the healthcare professional responded with the unhelpful queries: "What would you like me to do?" or "What would you like me to prescribe?" I shouldn't have to explain how such questions reveal the physician's incompetence and lack of professional expertise. When consulting a medical professional, I anticipate receiving informed guidance and clear recommendations based on their medical knowledge. Instead, I was met with a reversal of roles, prompting me to award a mere two stars. The phrase "I'm not the doctor, you are" perfectly captures my frustration. It's already challenging to be uncertain about one's health, but being asked the same vague questions I've been struggling with for months is unacceptable. I'll conclude by emphasizing the potential gravity of the situation: "What if this were a life-threatening condition?"
