Terrible service at cedars medical surgery

Absolutely the worst medical practice to deal with. The receptionist handling patient registration is incredibly discourteous and lacks basic professionalism. I've been registered with this surgery twice, but both times I was deregistered for supposedly being "inactive" - despite being healthy and not requiring frequent medical attention. Recently, I attempted to schedule a vaccination, as the NHS recommends being registered with a GP, but Cedars Surgery had already removed me from their records. Their approach is ridiculous - they should at least communicate that patients need to make periodic visits, even if they're in good health, instead of forcing individuals to unnecessarily consume doctors' valuable time. Now, if I want to get vaccinated, I must re-register, and according to the staff, that will take 5-6 weeks because they claim to be overwhelmed. I strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to avoid this surgery at all costs. The entire experience is frustrating and inefficient.

Frustrating registration nightmare at local medical practice

The service here is absolutely abysmal. The registration process is painfully slow and frustratingly inefficient. My friend and I attempted to register our parents simultaneously, and while his were processed in just 4 days, mine languished in bureaucratic limbo for over 5 weeks. After all this time, I still haven't received an NHS number, and the receptionists are completely unhelpful, offering no clarity on when this might be resolved. I've never encountered such a sluggish and incompetent system. There's zero transparency and absolutely no support for patients. My advice? Explore alternative GP services and steer clear of this one at all costs.

Horrible medical practice with zero patient compassion

Avoid registering at this practice! Where to begin? The reception staff are incredibly discourteous. During registration, patients are made to feel inferior to existing patients. Unlike other medical practices that conduct height and weight checks during initial appointments, The Cedars demands these measurements be completed on the registration form beforehand. If you're unaware of your measurements, you're isolated in a room to take them yourself, showing complete disregard for individuals struggling with eating disorders or weight-related anxieties. Despite clearly marking our gender as male on the forms, the receptionist persistently addressed my roommate and me using feminine pronouns. Their approach to mental health treatment and non-standard prescriptions is abysmal. I consistently struggle to obtain necessary medication because the doctors fail to comprehend my medical needs, even when specialists have explicitly confirmed them. Attempting to contact the practice manager is futile. I've sent two emails and received absolutely no response, not even an automated acknowledgment. Without question, this is the most disappointing of the six GP surgeries I've encountered.

The front desk staff are incredibly discourteous and provide zero assistance. The physicians seem completely disinterested, treating patients like an inconvenience they want to quickly dismiss. Scheduling an appointment is a prolonged ordeal, with wait times stretching beyond three weeks. Attempting to contact them by phone is an exercise in frustration - their automated menu is dysfunctional, calls drop constantly, or simply go unanswered. Their mobile application is equally worthless, functioning only when you want to cancel an appointment. To make matters worse, they consistently mishandle patient information and then arrogantly blame the patient for their own errors.

Worst medical care ever avoid at all costs

The staff consistently provides inaccurate guidance to patients, with receptionists displaying a dismissive attitude and arbitrarily recommending emergency room visits (which, in my situation, would have been inappropriate). The physicians are about as useful as seeking medical advice from a random neighbor. They frequently resort to vague, noncommittal language like "it could be" or "likely not serious". Most recently, I was told I was completely fine, despite being bedridden for three days with intense headaches and body pain while pregnant. I could elaborate extensively on their numerous errors and lack of professional care.
