Terrible service from a dismal medical practice

Every recent attempt to consult a doctor at this clinic has been blocked by an unwelcoming front desk staff member. I've been completely unable to secure a proper medical consultation during these visits. Apparently, access to a physician is now restricted to critical emergencies only!!! How long has this unacceptable situation been going on?!!! The Churchill clinic is absolutely terrible. Completely ineffective. Worthless. Potentially hazardous.

Terrible service and endless waiting times

Unable to keep my scheduled time slot. This marks the second instance in recent weeks where I've experienced an unacceptable delay exceeding an hour, with zero communication about the reason for the prolonged wait or when I might actually be seen. While I understand appointments can occasionally run behind, this situation is completely ridiculous. It's glaringly obvious they've overbooked their capacity relative to available staff. The administrative team should restructure their scheduling approach. The receptionists, who seem more engaged in idle conversation, could at least step out and provide patients with realistic wait time estimates instead of remaining hidden away. Patient care appears to be an afterthought here. This experience perfectly illustrates the systemic failures within the NHS - basic time management and customer service are clearly not being prioritized. The lack of respect for patients' time is frustrating and unprofessional.

Deadly misdiagnosis destroys family's trust in healthcare

Cannot believe this doctors surgery can still practice, says it all really!! How is this surgery still permitted to operate? Scanning through these reviews, they persist without change, and absolutely NO ACTION is taken to shut this place down!! The lives of our loved ones and ourselves clearly mean nothing to those managing this disaster!!!! They incorrectly diagnosed my husband's pancreatic cancer and predictably escaped accountability, leaving him suffering, devoid of palliative care, with only a carer when the hospital sent him home to die. How can someone possibly diagnose cancer over a telephone, which they did, continually disregarding his condition? He repeatedly attempted to communicate with someone, but they consistently ignore phone calls, and when answered, a receptionist is outrageously rude and obstructive, seemingly employed specifically to prevent patients obtaining appointments. Why did Medway hospital reject him when they claimed to have scheduled a scan - did they actually do so? Why was he left waiting while critically ill for tests that never materialized? Why were we misled at the inquest, told it wasn't a legal matter, yet surrounded by their lawyers? The NHS must transform its approach, as this isn't about money but their fundamental lack of compassion and accountability!! He endured an incredibly challenging experience that no one should face in modern times, paying taxes for WHAT exactly?! They continue practicing and repeating these actions against others, doing nothing to improve. They'll trap you claiming diagnosis is difficult, yet didn't even attempt proper investigation... utterly pointless when you cannot access a doctor initially or they're ignorant of basic symptoms?? If you value your life, steer clear of this place.

Terrible healthcare service that needs urgent improvement

This general practice is hands down the most appalling medical facility I've encountered! It genuinely deserves immediate shutdown. Getting an appointment with a doctor or nurse seems impossible, even in life-threatening situations. Children receive absolutely no special consideration or prompt attention. I'm desperate to find a way to lodge a formal complaint that will actually be acknowledged and addressed. The practice has completely deteriorated since the pandemic, with staff members who are entirely incompetent and collecting salaries for zero meaningful work. They don't even merit a single star rating.

Even a single star is too generous! Terrible establishment where the front desk staff believe they're medical experts, offering unsolicited advice beyond their administrative role. It's impossible to even reach the doctors due to these gatekeepers 😂 The clinic used to be exceptional when they merged with the Princess Park location, but now it's a complete disaster. Getting an appointment is practically impossible, even if you're on your deathbed!

Complete chaos from start to finish. Arrived punctually for my 11am consultation, yet by 12:15 I was still alone in the waiting area. I approached the reception desk no less than three times seeking information, only to be repeatedly assured I was "next in line". By 12:30, the entire reception staff disappeared for lunch, leaving me stranded. Frustrated, I eventually took matters into my own hands and knocked on a doctor's door. The GP claimed he was unaware of my presence due to technical system issues and finally saw me. I could have potentially been overlooked indefinitely.

Heartless doctor fails vulnerable patient with depression

This clinic is a complete disaster that we're abandoning due to multiple critical issues. The receptionists consistently display a harsh and unwelcoming demeanor, and securing an appointment seems practically impossible. Today, my mother sought help for mental health concerns after months of our encouragement, only to be treated abominably. She disclosed severe depression and recent traumatic experiences, yet received an appallingly callous response from the doctor, who was fixated on appointment timing. Despite being told she had a double appointment slot, the doctor denied this after my mother had already waited 40 minutes and spent only 12 minutes in consultation. When she candidly shared her suicidal thoughts, saying "Thankyou for nothing and I'll just go and kill myself then," the doctor's response was shockingly dismissive - simply replying "ok"! Mental health is a serious issue, and my mother is genuinely struggling with anxiety and depression. The doctor's heartless attitude could potentially push a vulnerable patient to extreme actions. Her demeanor was cold and unprofessional, and her approach is utterly unacceptable. I will be formally naming Dr. Carmen Badea and filing official complaints, as she represents a dangerous liability in healthcare. As her son, I am absolutely furious by this "doctor's" unethical and inhumane treatment of a patient in profound psychological distress.

Worst mental health support ever experienced

My consultation this morning about my mental well-being turned into an utterly degrading experience. The general practitioner essentially accused me of being responsible for my own condition, consistently speaking to me in a condescending manner and suggesting that my mental health challenges aren't legitimate. When I disclosed my suicidal thoughts and expressed my desire for support, she bizarrely questioned whether I was addicted to my emotional state. Despite my clear explanation that I genuinely wanted help, she dismissed me and insisted that I was somehow enjoying my suffering. I departed the clinic feeling significantly more defeated and hopeless than when I arrived, which is the exact opposite of what medical care should accomplish. For anyone struggling with mental health issues, I strongly advise avoiding this terrible clinic at all costs. I can definitively say I will never return and subject myself to such unprofessional and harmful treatment again.

Worst clinic ever with one good doctor

I would gladly assign zero stars to this medical practice if possible. While I fully recognize the immense challenges facing the NHS, the Churchill Clinic appears to be significantly underperforming compared to other local GP services, to the extent that I've transferred my registration and am now paying privately out of sheer exasperation. Securing a medical appointment is practically unachievable - with 'emergency' slots unavailable for three weeks and being repeatedly told to "just call in the morning"... every single morning. It's genuinely bewildering how certain staff members have maintained their positions, as obtaining any assistance feels like an arduous struggle. I strongly advise against registering with this clinic in its current dysfunctional state. When you finally manage to see someone, it's invariably a nurse rather than a doctor, who then proves unable to provide meaningful help, leaving you back in the waiting cycle. That said, Dr Dunn is an exceptional practitioner.

Terrible service and inflexible medical care

I've been a patient at this medical practice since around 2014, and their service has seriously deteriorated. I was on the verge of switching providers but held off, giving them leeway considering the pandemic and the overall strain on the NHS. After requesting an appointment (and being fine with a phone consultation), the GP insisted I visit the nurses in person for a minor health check. I explained that my work schedule makes it impossible to drop everything and come without advance warning. Their response was essentially "take it or leave it." As a result, I'll definitely be seeking out a new medical practice.

The quality of the front desk personnel has significantly declined. They appear to go out of their way to make scheduling an appointment difficult, despite the clinic being virtually vacant when you finally secure a slot. This isn't the extent of the issues; several staff members urgently require retraining to understand their role as receptionists, not doctors. Moreover, a handful are remarkably discourteous and unprofessional, seemingly forgetting that they lack medical expertise.

Terrible leadership ruins an otherwise great practice

I am updating my review due to the head practitioner's utterly unacceptable conduct. I deliberately avoid scheduling appointments with her because she displays an arrogant and unhelpful demeanor, offering no assistance in addressing medical concerns or alleviating symptoms. Her unprofessional attitude remains consistent whether interacting in person or over the telephone, and I am bewildered by her leadership role. I strongly advise anyone booking an appointment to specifically request an alternative practitioner, as she is entirely uncooperative. While most of the reception staff are excellent, there is one staff member who matches the head practitioner's rudeness and dismissive approach. Fortunately, the remaining receptionists are compassionate and supportive. Every other staff member I have encountered has been exceptional. It is truly disappointing that the entire practice's reputation is undermined by the individual occupying its most senior position.

Scheduling an appointment here is impossible. The staff's phone manner is aggressive and confrontational. Anita, in particular, stands out as the most unpleasant representative I've ever encountered. I've been calling persistently every single day for two weeks, and each time I manage to get through, there are zero available slots. It's clear they couldn't care less about customer service.
