Feedback reflects a deeply divided patient experience at this practice, with clinical care consistently praised but significant operational challenges undermining service delivery. Patients repeatedly describe appointment access as extremely difficult, with obstacles including unclear booking processes, long phone queues, limited availability, and inconsistent triage systems that prevent timely contact with doctors. Reception experience emerges as a critical pain point, with multiple accounts of discourteous communication, abrupt call terminations, and staff who appear to obstruct rather than facilitate access to care. Prescription processing delays and administrative inefficiency compound these concerns, leaving patients frustrated when attempting routine medication management.
Despite these systemic issues, the clinical quality of doctors receives consistent recognition, with patients acknowledging excellent medical expertise and compassionate care when appointments are secured. However, this positive clinical experience is substantially diminished by the broader service environment. Patients report long waiting times at appointments, missed communications about scheduling, and a general sense that the practice operates without adequate regard for patient convenience or privacy. Several long-term patients indicate they are considering switching providers due to the cumulative effect of these access and administrative difficulties, despite valuing the doctors themselves. The practice appears to face a significant gap between clinical delivery and operational management that requires urgent attention to booking systems, reception training, and administrative coordination.

Frustrating phone service at this unresponsive medical practice
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE PICKS UP, SO DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT CALLING this medical practice. Getting through is completely futile. Their phone system puts you in a queue, but it's entirely non-functional. You'll remain stuck at the same queue position (Number 5) indefinitely. If you genuinely require a consultation or medical guidance, I strongly recommend physically going to their office if that's at all possible for you!!!

Bad!
Terrible communication and unprofessional customer service
I scheduled a consultation that required an in-person assessment due to the nature of my situation. Despite being initially assured of a face-to-face meeting, I was informed the appointment would be conducted via telephone, with a specific date and time set. When the scheduled time passed without a call, I reached out the next day to inquire about the missed connection. Even though the appointment was clearly recorded in their system, I received neither an explanation nor an apology for the communication breakdown. At this point, I remain completely in the dark about the status of my appointment.

Rude receptionists make healthcare access frustratingly difficult
I make every effort to avoid contacting or visiting the surgery due to the reception staff's condescending and intimidating approach, often lecturing without complete understanding. After my operation, I attempted to schedule an appointment for dressing change as directed by the hospital and mentioned needing a new sick note. At this point, the receptionist launched into a lecture about self-certification for the first 7 days, completely derailing the straightforward booking process. I was suddenly being accused of shouting when I was simply speaking normally (being a non-native speaker) and providing information she clearly did not comprehend. I now understand why calls are never answered, given that patients must endure a 20-minute ordeal just to book a simple appointment with a doctor. Regrettably, this is not my first instance of needing to file a complaint. The staff consistently portrays the surgery in a negative light, despite the doctors being consistently helpful, accommodating, caring, and ready to assist. It's truly unfortunate that patients must navigate through such challenging reception staff to access the medical care they require and are paying for.

Terrible healthcare experience with unhelpful doctors
Medical professionals are completely ineffective and disrespectful, and it's impossible to schedule a consultation. When I finally manage to get an appointment, it's just a brief phone call. I'm switching healthcare providers because I've reached my limit with their poor service. This clinic deserves to be permanently closed.

Terrible service and unhelpful medical practice
They force you to constantly pursue them and continually brush you off, the reception staff consistently fail to respond despite making promises - it's completely ridiculous. And if any doctors choose to reject me as a patient after reading this review, then that's perfectly fine with me.

Terrible medical practice with zero patient care
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this medical practice. They have absolutely no regard for patient care or privacy. Their receptionist interrogates you about your health concerns before even determining if you can see a doctor. And on the rare chance you actually get an appointment, the unprofessionalism is shocking - they discuss your medical details openly in front of other patients. Want to lodge a complaint with the practice manager? Prepare to be grilled by the receptionist, who will promise a callback that never materializes, even if you persistently follow up daily. This clinic demonstrates a complete lack of compassion and respect for patients in every possible way.

Worst medical practice ever avoid at all costs
Complete disaster of a medical facility - you're more likely to spot a flying saucer than get through to a doctor. Their phone system is utterly abysmal.

Worst medical experience ever with dangerous delays
Absolutely dreadful medical practice and personnel. This clinic has rapidly deteriorated from its previous high standards. With the exception of Kat, the reception staff are the most obstructive and discourteous individuals I've ever had the misfortune to interact with. Nearly three months ago, I received an 'urgent referral' for blood tests, ECG, and X-rays, but Dr. Dunn and the clinic seem to have a very loose interpretation of "urgent". Twice, he has scheduled a call with me and simply not followed through. My ECG is still in limbo while they debate the functionality of their equipment. Despite calling at 8am and finding myself approximately 43rd in the queue, I still cannot secure even a phone consultation about my dangerously elevated blood pressure, despite Dr. Dunn specifically requesting I book a call with him! The situation is utterly unbelievable! At this rate, I'll likely succumb to my high blood pressure before ever receiving an appointment, driven to my demise by their insufferable waiting room muzak!

Terrible service and impossible to book appointments
This medical practice is absolutely dreadful. They claim you can only schedule an appointment at 8am or potentially around 14:30, but when you actually try to contact them during those times, it's impossible to get through. For the past two days, their phone lines have been perpetually jammed from 8-10am and 14:30-4pm. If you're genuinely dealing with a health concern, The Churchill Clinic is completely useless and will provide zero assistance.

Terrible healthcare experience left me frustrated and angry
Utterly appalling treatment from the front desk staff. I scheduled a telephone consultation for persistent abdominal discomfort lasting more than a fortnight, only to endure a week-long wait, miss a single incoming call, and get told to reschedule 🤬 What has happened to our healthcare system? 🤯 How can a physician possibly determine the underlying issues via a phone conversation without conducting any diagnostic tests? ❓ Completely ridiculous ❗

Frustrating appointments make healthcare experience miserable
Seeking to switch medical practices due to their terrible scheduling. The physicians themselves are excellent, but securing an appointment is nearly impossible. Unlike other clinics that use convenient GP booking apps, this surgery's system is frustratingly outdated. I'm thoroughly disappointed and extremely frustrated with their lack of accessibility. 😞

Worst healthcare experience in a decade
After a decade living in the UK, I can confidently say this medical practice, particularly Dr. Richard Dunn, represents the absolute lowest point of my healthcare encounters - steer clear of this physician at all costs.

Terrible service and dangerous healthcare experience
I attempted to schedule a medical consultation, but the front desk staff displayed an appalling lack of professionalism. I have never encountered such a substandard healthcare practice before. The process of securing a doctor's appointment is incredibly challenging and potentially compromises patient safety.

Great!
Caring clinic with helpful staff and great support
I first became a Patient at Churchill Clinic in September, 2020 simply because I had just relocated to the area at the end of August, 2020. The clinic features multiple General Practitioners and a Practice Nurse working together. Typically, you must wait in a telephone queue, though you're informed about your position in line while on hold. The waiting line can sometimes diminish rapidly, while at other times you might remain at the same queue position, likely because an earlier caller requires more extensive assistance from the Receptionist. Despite this, it's advisable to remain patient, as the Receptionist is genuinely committed to addressing your queries and medical concerns, and will often consult with the GP or Nurse to help resolve your issues. From my personal experience, I wholeheartedly endorse this Clinic. Having been seriously unwell for an extended period, the Doctor and Clinic staff demonstrated exceptional care, managing my Hospital Admissions comprehensively and providing ongoing support. Upon my return home, they continued to assist by arranging Carers and coordinating medication delivery from the local Chemist directly to my residence.

Excellent!
Compassionate and efficient healthcare at its best
My interactions with this medical center have been exceptionally positive. The physician has been diligent in tracking and discussing my test outcomes, while the nursing and administrative personnel have maintained excellent communication through phone calls and voicemail updates. Considering the numerous negative accounts I've heard from acquaintances about their healthcare providers, I feel genuinely fortunate that The Churchill Clinic has offered such outstanding support. My sincere appreciation goes to this dedicated and compassionate team.

Poor!
Unhelpful receptionist denied my critical medication request
I reached out to the medical practice seeking a prescription refill that I had previously emailed, and the Receptionist informed me that my prescription wasn't yet due. When I explained that I needed to discard some damaged pills, she insisted I must wait until the medication is scheduled in their system, which would leave me without essential medication for several days. Frustrated, I requested her name so I could reference her when contacting NHS 111 for emergency medication assistance. The Receptionist refused to provide her name, instead suggesting I submit a written complaint if I had concerns. When I tried to explain the urgency of being without medication, she accused me of shouting, continuously interrupted me, declared she wasn't listening, and abruptly ended the call.

Nightmare booking experience with unhelpful medical staff
Getting an appointment here is like attempting to hit the jackpot - nearly impossible. After enduring a mind-numbing hour on hold, you might finally reach someone. The receptionist comes across as cold and mechanical, spewing out rehearsed excuses and interrupting callers instead of listening with any genuine understanding or compassion. Management should definitely review their call recordings for staff training purposes! I understand healthcare dynamics have shifted during the pandemic and medical professionals are under increased pressure, but there's still room for basic human consideration and practical problem-solving. Absolutely cannot endorse this practice, and I'm eagerly looking forward to switching to a different medical office.
