Unhelpful front desk staff who abruptly end phone calls. Extremely difficult to schedule a consultation, with waiting periods stretching to multiple weeks. Seems completely disconnected from the latest official health protocols and immunization priority recommendations. The quality of service has significantly deteriorated in recent times.

Working as a GP receptionist can be stressful, and I've encountered a few staff members who seemed somewhat abrupt at this clinic. But today, Tabb was exceptionally understanding and compassionate. She carefully walked me through everything and really took the time to help. It's individuals like Tabb who bring a bit of light and comfort during challenging moments. My sincere appreciation.

Terrible service and complete administrative failure

Do NOT waste your time with this practice. Abysmal response times. Abysmal service. Completely failed to provide palliative care for my late father, despite my repeated calls to the practice and informing them of his condition. They only sprang into action after an ambulance crew member personally contacted the GP and urged them to reach out to us. When I spoke with the practice manager, she offered pathetic excuses and attempted to deflect blame onto other staff members like the complex care nurse or Social Services. I was utterly stunned by her telephone demeanor and complete lack of empathy, leaving me speechless during our conversation. Incredibly, a nurse visited our home on the 13th of January, even though the practice was well aware of my father's death (which they were notified about DAYS after it occurred in December). The nurse revealed that the GP practice had sent the letter on the 11th of December. This naturally distressed my mother during her interaction with the nurse. This clearly demonstrates their profound administrative incompetence. As someone working in healthcare with friends who are sonographers and doctors, when I share the details of the Churchill clinics and our family's experience, they are all completely shocked. I acknowledge we're in a pandemic - and as a healthcare professional, I understand better than most how devastating this has been for healthcare services. However, I used this practice years ago before university, and they were just as ineffective then as they are now. There are several surgeries in the area - two in or near Walderslade, and one in Chatham. Save yourself the frustration and DEFINITELY avoid this place; seek care elsewhere.

Terrible service at clinic with unprofessional staff

Utterly repulsive. My wife and I scheduled flu and shingles vaccinations at 2:15 and 2:30 PM. Upon reaching the facility, we were met with zero guidance about where to wait or whom to contact. We stood outside for half an hour in bitter cold until locating a door with a bell. Our initial ring produced no response. After another ten minutes of waiting, we rang again, finally prompting a nurse to appear - indifferent and seemingly oblivious to our presence. I emphatically recommend that a competent senior administrator intervene to restructure this clinic's appointment management and instill much-needed professional conduct among the staff. While we understand the disruptions caused by Covid-19, it appears the personnel are exploiting the pandemic as an excuse for their substandard service and lack of communication.

Worst medical service ever pure frustration

Trying to reach their office since early morning, the phone lines are constantly jammed, and no one seems available to answer. When I do manage to wait for 40 minutes or more, they suggest calling in the morning to schedule an appointment - but how can I do that if they never pick up? Once I finally arrive for my scheduled time, they're consistently running over 40 minutes late. Then, when it's supposedly my turn, the consultation lasts less than 5 minutes before they abruptly claim my appointment is over and I need to rebook. It's absolutely ridiculous - this feels more like a comedy sketch than a professional medical procedure. I'm convinced it would be easier to get an audience with the queen than to successfully complete this surgery. Is this truly considered acceptable service?????

Worst healthcare assistant ever rude and unprofessional

Desperately seeking a personality upgrade! I encountered Sandra Gadd, a Health'care' Assistant, for a blood draw, and the experience was utterly devoid of basic human warmth. She mangled my name when calling me in the waiting area, and despite my polite correction, received no acknowledgment or apology. Her entire interaction consisted of a terse "Take a seat" and "Sharp scratch." No courteous guidance, no reassuring words about the procedure, no closing remarks. The lack of professionalism was astounding. Not a single smile graced her face, and most critically, she failed to inquire about my fasting status—crucial for accurate lipid panel testing. Her robotic, impersonal approach was a stark reminder of how some healthcare workers seem to have forgotten the fundamental aspect of patient care: genuine human connection. A truly disheartening example of interpersonal incompetence.

Unprofessional and unhelpful medical service nightmare

I scheduled an appointment and was slightly behind schedule by 3 minutes. I proactively called the clinic to notify them of my slight delay, and they assured me it was fine. Upon arrival, I checked in and waited for 30 minutes, only to have Dr. Godava abruptly refuse to see my daughter. This is an extremely unprofessional and unacceptable medical practice.

Doctors great surgery system frustratingly broken

The doctors at this practice are exceptional - I've been a patient for decades and they've consistently cared for my family. HOWEVER, their current triage system is incredibly frustrating!!! Mysteriously, certain phone numbers cannot receive their calls - we just get texts claiming they attempted contact while we're literally sitting next to the phone WAITING!!! I'm unsure if this relates to blocked or unlisted numbers, but whenever I call back, they simply reinsert me into the callback queue - which NEVER successfully connects!!! I've communicated this issue to the surgery NUMEROUS TIMES, yet they seem completely indifferent. My seriously ill daughter is lying on the sofa, and after calling at 8.00, I now must wait through their extensive lunch break before attempting this entire exhausting process again. When you ultimately manage to see a physician, they are genuinely outstanding, and I fundamentally support the triage concept - but for my household, it's completely non-functional. I've even tested multiple phones, and bizarrely, only my husband's receives surgery calls - and he's currently working in London.

Frustrating clinic fails to support patient needs

I am currently attempting to transfer medical providers due to relocating, and I'm encountering significant obstacles in obtaining my essential medications. I've reached out to the clinic multiple times (including a personal visit that required a 30-minute trip) regarding my warfarin prescription, and each interaction has been frustratingly unproductive. They consistently claim they cannot prescribe my medication without seeing my anticoagulant book - a new requirement I was not previously informed about. Despite my repeated explanations that I am in the process of changing clinics, they repeatedly promise to remove the prescription block, only to reinstate it without any communication to me. Moreover, they have inexplicably blocked my inhaler prescription as well, with no apparent justification. I have spent considerable time and effort traveling to pharmacies, only to find my prescriptions are not available, despite the clinic's assurances that they would be processed and sent out.

Mixed experience with helpful doctors and frustrating staff

The doctors at this practice are top-notch, but the administrative support falls short. The phone interactions are frustratingly unprofessional. The guidance and subsequent care you receive heavily depends on which receptionist answers (if they answer at all), and their attitude is often dismissive with a "not my responsibility" approach. The consistency varies wildly between staff members! You'll frequently encounter inconsistent questioning from different receptionists, which can lead to incorrect routing of your medical needs. To be fair, some receptionists are commendable, and the GPs are truly exceptional; therefore, I'm rating this 3/5 stars. It seems the front-desk staff act as barriers, deliberately making access to medical care as challenging as possible. It's unfortunate because the doctors themselves are genuinely excellent—if you can actually get through to them.

Fantastic medical care with friendly and helpful staff

Exceptional medical practice that's truly top-notch. I've been a patient here for almost two years, and I can confidently say it's the best healthcare facility I've encountered. Unlike other clinics where receptionists can be intimidating, the staff here are wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Like the previous reviewer, I travel for work during the week, and they consistently go out of their way to schedule appointments or handle prescriptions on Fridays. The doctors are generally excellent, with my only minor suggestion being more consistency in seeing the same physician. Fortunately, I do get to see my preferred doctor most of the time. While I understand and respect other patients' perspectives, I would absolutely not consider switching from this fantastic medical practice!
