Reception staff hung up during distressing call

I would not recommend this surgery based on my experience. I felt the overall service fell short of expectations and did not receive the support I needed. When I sought assistance with a particular matter, I was concerned about how it was handled and felt my concerns were not properly addressed. I also found that the practice appeared to lack adequate training in managing patients with mental health concerns. When I reached out during a difficult time, I did not feel supported and the call ended abruptly, which was upsetting. I felt this reflected poorly on the approach of both clinical and administrative staff. My interactions with the nursing team were more positive. I also noticed that feedback I had previously submitted seemed to no longer be visible, which raised questions about how the practice manages patient reviews.

Phone appointments left me stressed and disconnected

The clinical team demonstrates professionalism and the wider staff are welcoming. I have experienced excellent care at the practice when I have managed to access appointments with the doctors. However, I find the telephone appointment system somewhat challenging, particularly when juggling work commitments and the uncertainty around when the call will arrive. On a couple of occasions, I experienced technical issues during phone consultations that resulted in disconnection, and unfortunately these were not followed up with a callback. I would prefer to have greater availability of in-person appointments.
