I'm perplexed by the low ratings for this medical practice, as my experience at The Croft is significantly better compared to my previous surgery in Yapton. The front desk personnel have consistently been warm and personable, treating me with genuine respect. Their E-Consult system is particularly impressive, allowing patients to submit concerns in a prioritized manner and send messages early in the day without stress - a real blessing for those with demanding work schedules. Booking appointments with a general practitioner has never been problematic, especially during my challenging health year. The doctors have been consistently professional, demonstrating genuine compassion and expertise. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I've received since becoming their patient.

Exceptional medical care at the croft surgery

I'm always puzzled by the negative feedback about this medical practice. My personal experience has been consistently positive. The staff are exceptional, and I've always managed to secure a same-day appointment or callback when contacting them in the morning. Having been registered with the Croft for over five years, with both my children also registered, I've even navigated a pregnancy during the pandemic. Their diagnostic and treatment services have been consistently reliable. I want to specifically commend urgent care practitioner Kevin Allsobrook and Dr Rose for their outstanding care. They've been particularly wonderful with my two-year-old during his illnesses, displaying remarkable kindness, patience, and friendliness. They've always provided clear explanations, prescriptions, and reassurance, emphasizing that I should call if any further concerns arise. One evening, Dr Rose was still working at 8pm, ensuring all patients were seen, and personally attended to my son during a period of widespread illness. Phone wait times are typically minimal, usually around 5 minutes, with me rarely being more than fifth in the queue. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at The Croft Surgery for their exceptional service.

Terrible healthcare service leaves patients frustrated and neglected

The service here is utterly subpar. My wife struggles with multiple health issues and consistently faces challenges securing blood test appointments, forcing her to travel over 6 miles to St Richards hospital when this surgery is barely a mile away. Just yesterday, she was prescribed a medication that requires careful monitoring for patients on warfarin. The pharmacist cautioned her against taking it until a doctor confirms its safety. When she contacted reception at 3:30 PM, she was promised a callback that afternoon, yet as of 10:00 AM the next day, no communication has been received. Additionally, I requested a product from Coloplast Charter on June 24th, which necessitates a prescription. They emailed the request that same morning, and after five days, they have yet to receive a response.

Exceptional medical professionals at this practice. The main issue lies in scheduling an appointment with your specific physician, especially when dealing with ongoing health concerns. I attempted to book a consultation with Dr. P after a recent visit to Chichester Hospital's Cardiac Clinic, only to be told, "No appointments available before September 19th." When I inquired about booking after that date, I was informed, "No appointments have been released yet." P.A.L.S. advised me to consult my GP about deteriorating vision. It seems they either require more medical staff or a younger, healthier patient base. Despite these scheduling challenges, I have absolute trust in the doctors at this practice.

Unhelpful receptionist dampens otherwise great medical experience

I've consistently experienced excellent service here, but today, your receptionist failed to meet those standards. I came to collect my blood test forms and sought an appointment with a doctor. I explained that I'm a patient at St Richards with a chronic medical condition. She dismissively instructed me not to call tomorrow and to wait until next week, stating that doctors are exclusively handling emergency cases. Her response showed a complete lack of understanding about my health situation, and being brushed off by someone who knows nothing about my condition is incredibly frustrating! The medical staff are truly outstanding, but this particular receptionist certainly did not reflect their high-quality care.

Terrible service and zero patient privacy nightmare

I am utterly frustrated with this medical facility. Scheduling an appointment is an absolute nightmare - this morning I stood in line outside from 8am just to secure a slot for my child. When I finally reached the front desk, I was forced to loudly disclose my son's personal details - name, address, age, and medical reason - in a crowded waiting area, completely destroying any semblance of privacy. After enduring this humiliating process, I was simply redirected to a nurse at a different clinic. I cannot stress enough: avoid registering with this practice if you are seeking medical care. The lack of professionalism and respect is appalling.
