Exceptional service from caring medical professionals

Laura, my diabetic nurse, provided exceptional service. She promptly sent me my test results in under 24 hours, which was impressive. When I visited the clinic to speak with the receptionist, I was initially taken aback by the young staff member. However, I was pleasantly surprised by his professionalism, kindness, and extensive knowledge. He addressed all my queries thoroughly, and I would definitely recommend this medical practice!

Despite being told to call before any in-person interaction, no one ever picks up when I try. This leaves me in an impossible situation with no clear way to proceed. Compassionate care at fryern surgery despite challenges

Recently joined the surgery after becoming a paraplegic, and the reception staff have been exceptional - courteous and helpful whenever I call (occasional wait times are understandable given COVID circumstances). I'm consistently treated with utmost respect, and this is genuinely the best medical reception I've experienced. Regarding the doctors, Holly Emery is fantastic; her telephone consultations are clear and professional. Dr. McKenna is equally wonderful, and I appreciate how proactively she follows up on matters. I also encountered a nurse named Lark Avery who was absolutely outstanding - polite, informative, and incredibly gentle when handling my legs. I couldn't have asked for a more compassionate healthcare professional. Kudos to the entire Fryern surgery team! My only criticism is the phone system: when on hold, the call unexpectedly goes silent and then restarts with the initial message, giving the impression of a lost connection when that's not actually the case. This issue definitely needs addressing.

Terrible service and uncaring doctors destroy patient trust

Getting through on the phone is an absolute nightmare (just recently, 37 attempts over 1.5 hours with constant disconnections), and the staff who eventually answer are incredibly discourteous and dismissive. What's worse, I was repeatedly sent home with symptoms that later developed into gastroperesis, requiring an emergency hospital admission. The hospital staff explicitly stated that if I had received proper treatment for gastroenteritis weeks earlier, my condition might not have escalated to this point. Dr. Ward, in particular, was exceptionally insensitive, reducing me to tears with his callous attitude, essentially telling me to just accept my stomach problems and move on. As a result, I am actively seeking a new medical practice that actually shows some compassion and provides proper medical care.

Terrible service and doctors who don't listen

I've been a patient at this medical practice for numerous years, and while the service was acceptable during my younger days, it has significantly declined as I've aged. Specifically, when scheduling consultations, I've noticed a pattern across multiple doctors where they seem disinterested in truly hearing my concerns, appearing eager to rush me out quickly. This approach often results in prescribing treatments that prove ineffective, ultimately leaving me to continue suffering and potentially exacerbating my health issues. The overall practice is frustratingly unresponsive, with communication being a major challenge. Attempting to contact them is an exercise in futility, frequently requiring up to six phone calls before receiving any response. I cannot in good conscience recommend this surgery to anyone seeking quality healthcare.

Dizzy and frustrated with terrible patient care

I've been battling persistent dizzy spells and consulted Dr Woods, who prescribed medication and suggested an Epley test if my condition didn't improve. After not seeing any progress, I contacted the clinic on Friday the 13th to request the test. They promised to follow up, but by Tuesday the 17th, I'd heard nothing. I called again and received the same vague response. At 17:45 on the 18th, I received a text scheduling my appointment for October 14th. Frustrated, I challenged the four-week wait, given how long I've already been experiencing these symptoms. I was told only Dr Gee performs this test and this was the earliest available slot. Despite expressing my strong disagreement about having to endure another month of suffering, I was met with indifference. I find it absolutely unacceptable that I'm being forced to continue struggling with this condition, and I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with the clinic's handling of my medical issue.
