Outstanding care at a fantastic local clinic

My interaction with this medical practice has been superb. Whenever I've required a consultation, I've managed to secure one with minimal delay (granted, I've had to show some scheduling adaptability, understanding the pressures of an overstretched and under-resourced NHS). The quality of care I've received is exceptional. I'm consistently provided with comprehensive information that empowers me to make informed healthcare choices, and the medical staff are thoroughly knowledgeable about my treatment. I cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful clinic!

Terrible service with long waits and misdiagnosis

When I first started here, this GP practice seemed fantastic. Appointments were quick, within two weeks, and the doctors appeared genuinely caring - that was two years ago. Now, appointment wait times have stretched to a minimum of a month. The morning Emergency clinics demand at least 1hr 30 mins of waiting, and the GPs have become noticeably less engaged and thorough. On one particularly distressing occasion, my young daughter and I endured a grueling 3hrs 30min wait in the Emergency clinic for a head rash. They claimed we needed a separate room for rash consultations, but this "room" was merely a chair in a hallway behind the reception, constantly interrupted by doctors and nurses passing through. With a restless child, it was an absolutely miserable experience. I'm convinced they essentially forgot about us, as the receptionist looked genuinely surprised when I inquired about our status. Regarding the rash, the GPs repeatedly misdiagnosed my daughter without conducting any tests, despite my persistent concerns. This led to multiple Emergency clinic visits, endless phone calls, and the condition progressively worsening. My daughter suffered agonizing pain for months, resulting in sleepless nights, constant crying, and a rash that expanded from a small coin-sized patch to the size of an orange, leaving a massive affected area and multiple smaller lesions. I now dread any potential health issues due to this practice's abysmal service. In fact, I'm currently writing this review while waiting to see a GP - 2hrs 30mins after my initial arrival.

Endless wait leads to frustration and wasted time

I always avoid visiting a clinic unless absolutely essential, as I'm hesitant to occupy time that might be crucial for others with more urgent medical needs. This morning, I was scheduled for a 10am appointment due to severe headaches that have prevented me from sleeping for four consecutive nights. Despite it now being 2 hours later at 12pm, I remain unattended. This delay is completely unacceptable.

Unprofessional service with clear racial discrimination

I visited the centre to register after recently relocating to Walkden. Upon approaching the reception, I was completely ignored despite standing directly in front of the staff. They continued their personal conversation, paying me no attention whatsoever. It took a full 10 minutes before they finally acknowledged my presence, and when they did, their greeting was incredibly discourteous. I couldn't help but notice the stark contrast in how the previous customer—a white woman—was treated, compared to my experience as a black teenage girl. The discriminatory treatment was deeply hurtful and completely destroyed my mood. As a result, I will be seeking to complete my registration at an alternative location.

Dr. Brown and the entire medical staff are incredible, consistently maintaining a cheerful demeanor and showing genuine eagerness to assist!!! Incompetent pharmacy staff fail at basic tasks

Terrible customer service from the reception team. They promise to handle a prescription request (essentially doing what they're paid for) and assure you they'll call when it's ready. But when you arrive to collect it, they suddenly act clueless and deny all knowledge. This frustrating scenario has repeated itself three times already. They consistently fail to manage even the most basic tasks effectively.
