Phone queue issues left me frustrated

I called this morning and waited in a queue for over 15 minutes. When I finally reached the front, the call was disconnected. I immediately called back and found myself queued again with several other callers ahead of me. The standard of service at this practice appears to have declined significantly.

I have been thoroughly pleased with the quality of care received, especially during recent challenging times. Appointment availability has been excellent with minimal waiting periods, and when in-person visits are clinically appropriate, these can be readily organised. Every member of staff encountered has demonstrated professionalism and genuine compassion. This is a truly outstanding service.

Staff took time to really listen and understand

A brilliant surgery. I am under the care of a clinician who not only listens but takes time to understand and learn. I have a very unusual condition that resulted in a lengthy hospital stay, and the practice has had to take on board and work out how to make things work for me. They also took on my partner who has so many issues too, and my clinician has made them a priority. This is remarkable and means they know our personal history too. Thank You

Phone queue makes booking nearly impossible

When attempting to book a doctor's appointment by phone, it takes considerable time to reach someone. Once through, the appointment tends to be with a locum who appears disengaged. I experienced a missed call with a voicemail left, and despite multiple attempts to reconnect, I was unable to get back in touch. I have been registered at this practice for many years, and I have noticed a decline in service quality over the past decade. I hope the practice will eventually contact me to arrange an appointment.

Frontoffice staff became less helpful over time

This practice was once excellent with outstanding service, but the experience has changed considerably. Some of the reception team members can come across as curt and unhelpful, with various issues being attributed to pandemic-related circumstances. This is disappointing.

This practice was previously reliable, but the experience has deteriorated significantly. Obtaining a telephone appointment requires lengthy waiting periods despite booking a designated slot, and follow-up calls are inconsistent. Complaints do not appear to result in meaningful action. The absence of mental health support and reduced focus on paediatric care are concerning. Once circumstances permit, I will be seeking alternative healthcare provision as the current service is not meeting expectations.

Reception staff showed genuine patience with every patient

This medical practice is brilliant with both the clinical staff and administrative team being extremely helpful and patient. During a recent visit, I observed a receptionist at the desk assisting a patient who appeared to be experiencing significant memory difficulties. Despite having other patients waiting, she calmly explained details about the appointment, carefully writing the information in the patient's diary. The patient left the practice several times and returned multiple times, seemingly having forgotten about the visit shortly after leaving. Each time he came back, she patiently repeated the explanation and showed him the written entry in his diary. She also made sure he had what he needed for his journey home. Her compassionate approach was truly touching. I would like to commend the reception team and extend my gratitude to all the clinical staff at the practice who have supported my care. I particularly appreciate the attentive treatment I have received during my recent appointments.

Consistent care from the same doctor always

I have been attending this medical practice for more than fifteen years and throughout this time have consistently received excellent care from all members of the team, including both clinical and administrative staff. The practice demonstrates a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing patient needs, and I am confident that patient wellbeing is treated as a top priority. Over many years, I have had regular monthly appointments with my assigned GP, which has been arranged at the practice's suggestion. These appointments have consistently been with the same clinician, providing valuable continuity of care. On the few occasions when I required urgent attention, I was able to access an appointment with another available GP on the same day, which is a service I greatly appreciate. This level of continuity with a familiar doctor is particularly valuable. I have found nothing to fault in my experience with the practice and would strongly recommend them to others.

Temporary registration felt rushed and unhelpful

Registered myself and my family as temporary patients while staying in the area. The healthcare provider seen by my partner was dismissive and unhelpful, and the experience was frustrating rather than beneficial. We only used the service out of necessity and would not recommend it to others.
