Thorough consultation with helpful follow-up communication

I had an appointment which was excellent. The clinician was courteous, had a professional manner, asked questions and noted my answers carefully, checked family history and then checked movement and pain in the area that was the reason I had sought the consultation. They indicated that they would consult with a colleague and phone later that day giving an approximate time, which they then did, to indicate what the steps would be. They had also emailed some appropriate exercises. An excellent thorough service. Thank you

Waiting nine days with no follow-up support

I have been waiting over a week for my blood pressure results following a home reading that I submitted through the online portal. After making several phone calls and visiting the practice in person, I have not received any response or assistance. I requested to speak with the practice management team, as I have found them helpful in resolving issues previously, but was not informed that anyone would arrange for them to contact me. The situation remains unresolved.

Sick note delays frustrate patient expectations

I'm struggling to understand why obtaining a medical certificate requires such a lengthy waiting period when it cannot be backdated. It's frustrating that the process works this way. The reception staff experience has been disappointing, with many seeming unhelpful and appearing to overstep their role. The NHS really needs to address these issues.

Phone lines too slow for same-day appointments

The appointment booking system is frustrating. I was contacted by the practice to arrange a phone consultation but was unable to take the call at that time. When I called back the next morning at 08:55, there was a delay in being answered. By 09:03, I was informed that an appointment could not be made. This has left me concerned about my health and uncertain about what needs to be discussed. The service has declined significantly since the practice changed management, and I would rate my experience much lower than I would have previously.

I have had an extremely negative experience with this GP practice over many years on behalf of my elderly relative. I found the care to be inadequate and felt the staff lacked compassion and competence. I am considering making formal complaints to the relevant health authorities and media outlets regarding my concerns about the standard of care provided.

Felt listened to during ECG appointment

I had an appointment for an ECG today, which I was really pleased to be able to have carried out at my usual doctors surgery. I saw a clinician for my appointment who was really professional and made sure that I was comfortable with their gender before performing the test. They talked me through the whole thing and even discussed the results at the end, which I really appreciated. It's great to be told what's actually going on with your body. I was really pleased with the service and couldn't praise the clinician enough.
