Phlebotomist found my vein first time

Had a blood test this morning and the staff member who performed it was excellent. I find the procedure quite difficult and have experienced fainting episodes previously, but this particular staff member has now assisted me on two occasions and has been outstanding both times. They successfully located my vein on the first attempt despite my veins being particularly deep and challenging, which many practitioners typically struggle with.

One of the best practices I have been registered with. The staff are great, and the healthcare professionals are knowledgeable and caring. A healthcare professional supported me for a while with my health needs. Whenever I had an appointment, I felt like I was meeting a caring family member or a friend rather than a healthcare provider. In addition, the receptionists and admin team are great too. I needed some older medical records, and a member of the administrative team did an amazing job getting those files sorted and retrieving them from other NHS entities.

While I understand their job involves handling challenging interactions, they demonstrate absolutely no understanding or desire to assist patients. Whenever you attempt to communicate with them, you're invariably forced to submit an online request and then endure a multi-day wait before any action is taken. The medical professionals themselves - the doctors and nurses - are generally competent and supportive, but the administrative side, particularly the reception process, is extremely frustrating. When someone is unwell or managing a chronic health condition, the last thing they need is to be met with such dismissive and unhelpful attitudes from the front-line staff. The lack of basic customer service and compassion from the reception team is deeply disappointing and adds unnecessary stress to an already challenging healthcare experience.
