Their electronic patient communication system works adequately, though I find it frustrating that they don't specify an exact callback window, which means potentially missing important contact. After just two missed callback attempts, patients must restart the entire scheduling process. While the digital check-in screens are convenient, I'm uncomfortable with their policy prohibiting prams inside the facility, as the sign suggests leaving expensive baby equipment unattended outside seems risky.

Sally made my doctor's visit miserable

The service here is utterly absurd, and the high street practice takes unprofessionalism to another level. Sally at the reception acts like she owns the place. Her attitude is incredibly discourteous, and she consistently ignores patients' concerns, doing only what suits her. I'm definitely planning to file a formal complaint in the future. My sympathies go out to all the patients who have to deal with this.

I was unexpectedly removed from this general practice, supposedly because I'm outside their catchment area, despite being a long-standing patient of 15 years and living just a 6-minute drive away. I want to highlight Dr. Singh, who is truly exceptional. She's an incredibly skilled physician, demonstrating deep medical knowledge, genuine empathy, and utmost professionalism - undoubtedly the finest GP I've ever encountered. While securing an appointment at this practice can be challenging, the wait is completely justified. Dr. Singh efficiently addresses all health concerns, often resolving complex issues in just one or two consultations and providing comprehensive referrals that can keep you from needing further medical attention for up to two years. Endless wait for no apology

I was stuck waiting at the top of the queue for a full 20 minutes. When the receptionist ultimately picked up, they didn't even offer an apology for the lengthy wait. The only reason my call was eventually addressed was because we strategically dialed in on another phone, which then entered the queue, prompting them to finally attend to my call.

Weird reception after hours at clinic

I approached the registration area and rang the bell. A woman retreated to the back without waiting for me to reach the reception desk. I then obtained registration forms from the adjacent surgery area, and this occurred after 6 PM. Initially, I was hesitant to enter, but I ultimately decided to return, which she observed. After reviewing the feedback here, I'm relieved I didn't proceed further, as it seems their reception staff is quite poor 😅

Sally's unhelpful attitude with sick child

S. is completely unsuitable for her role as a receptionist. Her attitude is consistently unpleasant and she seems to have a perpetual issue with everyone. When I phoned the GP to schedule an appointment for my son, who was suffering from a persistent cough and high fever that wasn't improving even after administering paracetamol, I detailed the situation. Her response was dismissive, simply advising me to continue the medication. S., you are NOT a medical professional! You are merely a receptionist, sweetheart. I contacted the reception again, and a different receptionist successfully arranged an appointment with a doctor. If my concern was valid enough for another staff member, why was it deemed insufficient by you, S.? I won't delve into the numerous previous encounters I've had with you, but your behavior is consistently rude and demonstrates a disturbing lack of empathy towards children.

EXCELLENT CARE

After a terrible experience and seeing rapid decline in my old surgery I left & I was accepted here at HIGH STREET PRACTICE. The care is amazing & actually seen by real GP's . It just does not compare Patients are able to communicate issues online & a response is within hours by a GP when wanted or admin if needed. No spending hours in phone queues & a physiotherapist on site. Taking bloods is simple & the practice is very thorough in the care I receive. Ordering prescriptions is simple & I am delighted with the care. Just knowing I will be listened to & understood means so much. It takes a patient who has been treated badly in order to recognise a good surgery. I believe I am qualified to leave an accurate review on this excellent practice.

Newborn's urgent allergy needs ignored

Complete disaster - both medical staff and front desk personnel. The physician clearly lacks competence, and to secure an appointment for my infant, I'm forced to have my midwife intervene and schedule urgent care, as my baby is struggling with cow's milk protein allergy. When I attempt to call directly, they dismiss my concerns and offer appointments weeks away, while my child is experiencing immediate distress. I am utterly repulsed by the incompetence and total absence of compassion displayed by the doctors in this practice. The situation is beyond description. Steer clear at all costs - it's worth investing in private healthcare where professionals with genuine expertise and empathy will actually provide proper treatment.

Dr Dhanan was great but admin failed

The medical professionals at this clinic are satisfactory. Dr. Dhanan is particularly attentive, compassionate, and provides thorough explanations. However, the single star rating is solely due to the administrative and reception personnel. Good grief, their entire operational system is a mess. I was arbitrarily informed that my appointment was cancelled without any valid explanation. After waiting nearly a month to consult the physician, they unexpectedly rescheduled my visit. When I inquired about the reason, they were completely clueless. What is the point of maintaining such a poorly managed establishment?

Heartless receptionist ignored my sick child

S., the elderly receptionist, demonstrated an appalling lack of compassion. Even after I elaborated on my young child's medical situation, she adamantly denied me an appointment. She went further by abruptly cutting off our call, callously declaring, "Do as you please, we have no availability for you." As a result, my son's asthma worsened significantly, and he is now extremely unwell. I'm left wondering if her dismissive attitude stems from some inexplicable issue with our family name or background.
