Rushed appointment with no proper history taken

A consultation was conducted without obtaining a detailed background history, and it was not conducted face-to-face. Medication was discontinued without clarification regarding the reasons for the patient's current treatment or whether this medication had been used previously during time spent abroad. There was no discussion of the therapeutic timeframe or appropriate dosage levels, and the replacement medication was prescribed for a six-month period.

Friendly reception staff who actually listen to you

The reception team are very welcoming and the clinical staff are excellent. I usually see my preferred clinician who is wonderful and always makes time for me. They listen carefully and provide helpful support. There can be a wait of up to two weeks to see them, though sometimes I'm able to get an appointment the same day or within a couple of days. With other clinicians, appointments are typically available either the same day or within two to three working days. I'm very satisfied with this practice and wouldn't consider going elsewhere.

The staff member's manner during my phone call was quite abrupt and dismissive. There appears to be a need for improved communication skills and a more considerate approach when interacting with patients over the telephone.

Felt unwelcome and belittled during visit

I felt discriminated against during my visit to this general practice and would not recommend it to anyone with similar circumstances to mine. One staff member made me feel belittled, whereas the receptionist was very helpful and attentive to my needs.

I have attended appointments at this practice many times over the past year and have consistently found that all my visits have run on schedule. The reception team are welcoming and supportive, and the clinical staff have been excellent. Overall, I consider this surgery to be of a very high standard.
