Patient feedback for this practice reflects a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas. Appointment access emerges as a persistent challenge, with many patients reporting difficulty booking consultations through both phone and online systems, lengthy waiting times for callbacks, and frustration with recent changes to scheduling procedures. Reception experience is similarly polarised, with some patients praising courteous and helpful staff while others describe dismissive or rude interactions that have caused distress. Communication issues are frequently cited, including delayed responses to queries, unclear information about appointment times, and problems with test result notification.
On the positive side, many patients commend the medical professionals for their compassionate care, responsiveness, and clinical expertise. Digital consultation systems and prescription services receive praise when functioning effectively, and several patients highlight efficient same-day consultations and prompt follow-up calls. The practice environment is described as welcoming by some, with staff demonstrating genuine concern for patient wellbeing. Vaccination services and dental care have been consistently well-received.
However, concerns about continuity of care, inadequate mental health support, administrative errors, and medication management issues persist across multiple reviews. Some patients report feeling their health concerns were dismissed or minimised, while others experienced problems with repeat prescriptions and follow-up arrangements. The overall picture suggests a practice with capable clinical staff but struggling with organisational systems, consistency in reception courtesy, and appointment accessibility.

Waiting hours for two chatting nurses
My experience with this surgery has been nothing short of disastrous, leaving me emotionally devastated on numerous occasions. The medical practice is so poorly managed that it's become unbearable. I've been stuck in the waiting room for over an hour, repeatedly asking about my wait time because of work commitments, but my pleas fell on deaf ears. It wasn't until I insisted on checking the nurses' station that I discovered two nurses casually chatting, who seemed completely unaware of my scheduled appointment. Now, when I try to book a follow-up appointment months later, I called on a Monday morning only to be told there are no available slots for the entire week. I'm at my wit's end and completely frustrated. All I needed was a brief 5-minute phone consultation regarding medication, yet the entire system appears to be fundamentally and irreparably dysfunctional.

Unhelpful staff dismissed our concerns twice
This medical practice has failed my wife and me on two separate occasions. Initially, when my wife sought guidance about potential benefits, she was rudely dismissed as trying to exploit the government, despite both of us being employed and simply seeking information. The second incident involved their complete lack of care for my newborn son's eye condition. Dr. Warsop essentially told us to go to the hospital without even spending a few minutes examining him, even though we had already waited four hours. They casually diagnosed it as conjunctivitis, a diagnosis that could have been made in mere moments by the doctor. This practice is utterly incompetent and falls far below any acceptable standard of medical care. Their service has deteriorated dramatically, particularly since the Covid pandemic, to the point where they don't even merit a single star rating. They should seriously consider shutting down their practice given their appalling level of patient care.

Jenner Practice's booking system is broken
I've held off on writing a review, initially giving the practice some leeway considering the challenges posed by the pandemic. However, after being a patient at the Jenner Practice for several years, I must candidly state that this is unquestionably the most unsatisfactory medical service I've encountered. The facilities are outdated and desperately need modernization, but more critically, booking an appointment is an exercise in frustration. The inability to establish a consistent relationship with a single GP who understands your medical history is deeply problematic. Consequently, medical conditions are left unmonitored and potentially worsen over time. It seems an incredibly simple request to be able to secure and attend a doctor's appointment, yet this practice makes it feel like an impossible task. Patients deserve basic, efficient healthcare, and this practice falls woefully short of those fundamental expectations.

Phone queue chaos at 8am
The digital scheduling platform has been discontinued, forcing patients to phone precisely at 8am, endure a lengthy phone wait, and hope to be among the fortunate few who secure a same-day telehealth consultation. This approach is akin to compelling ill and fragile individuals to crowd outside the clinic, with only the swiftest gaining medical attention. While I recognize the healthcare system is under significant strain, there must be a more humane and efficient method for allocating appointments than this anxiety-inducing, survival-of-the-quickest system. I want to emphasize that this critique is not directed at the medical personnel, who consistently demonstrate empathy and professionalism.

Frustrating blood test run-around today
I've been struggling for a fortnight to obtain a blood test, with Lewisham hospital refusing, directing me to my GP. Upon contacting my GP's office, I was informed they exclusively perform blood tests for individuals over 75 today (12/05/2022). The local community rallied to protect the NHS from closure due to inadequate support and medical resources, yet the system continues to fail patients, demonstrating a complete lack of compassion and healthcare commitment. This systemic negligence has persisted for years, predating even the COVID pandemic. I am now preparing a petition to permanently shut down the Jenner practice and similar NHS facilities that consistently fail to provide meaningful patient care. These healthcare providers are essentially being compensated to perpetuate patient suffering and maintain a state of ill health, which is fundamentally unethical and morally reprehensible.

Impossible to get care when needed
This facility desperately requires a total transformation. It's utterly futile attempting to secure an appointment, despite health professionals repeatedly highlighting my urgent need for assistance. The front desk staff behave as if they're protecting something sacred, displaying an attitude that is profoundly disrespectful and patronizing. Being directed to the emergency department when I'm on the brink of a breakdown, with them dismissing any responsibility to provide support, is nothing short of disgraceful.

Endless hold with no end in sight
Waiting on hold seems to be an Olympic sport for this company, as I find myself positioned at the very back of an incredibly long line of callers, specifically number 1,788,012 in their seemingly endless queue.

Walked right in Smooth experience Well-organized approach Welcoming personnel. A compassionate Canadian healthcare worker put me at ease and administered the shot with remarkable skill and gentleness!! I've recommended this site to my spouse Felt compelled to share a positive review since people are often quick to criticize, especially in challenging work conditions Your team is performing exceptionally well! Caring doctors who listen to parents
As a parent of two small kids, I've consistently found the Jenner Practice to be incredibly supportive. Their digital consultation and return call approach works remarkably well, and when doctors phone back, they genuinely take time to address even minor health worries or quickly arrange same-day consultations for pressing medical needs. Throughout the winter months, I'm frequently in contact with the practice regarding various family health matters, and I've always felt genuinely looked after. Admittedly, the initial phone wait can be lengthy, but the reception staff are exceptional - they're incredibly helpful, patient, and skilled at guiding patients to the right resources. Despite the widespread challenges facing medical practices, the Jenner seems truly committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care possible.

Doctor's call was a total bust
Absolutely horrendous service... I finally managed to navigate through the absurdly complicated booking system to schedule a call-back appointment. Received a text confirming an appointment precisely a week later between 11:20-11:30. I ended up calling the surgery at 11:50, only to be left on hold for 40 excruciating minutes. When I finally got through, I was told the doctor called at 11:56 - which is ridiculous, considering my original time slot was 11:20-11:30, and I had been stuck on hold for over 40 minutes! The doctor promised to call back today, and indeed rang me around 3pm while I was at work. Uncomfortably, I had to discuss my medical history in a public space, explaining my chronic migraines and emphasizing the need for comprehensive investigations. The doctor's response was to suggest blood tests, seemingly oblivious to the fact I've already undergone multiple blood tests in the past year. Their attitude was utterly dismissive, essentially brushing off my legitimate health concerns about daily painkiller usage. The complete lack of empathy and professional care is infuriating. I am absolutely determined to escalate this to the ombudsman, as this level of medical negligence is completely unacceptable.

Caring doctors who really listen
I consider myself fortunate to have my family registered with this medical center. Every member of the team - from the front desk staff to the midwives and doctors - has been outstanding in their interactions with me, genuinely demonstrating a deep commitment to patient care. They have navigated difficult circumstances with remarkable skill and truly merit significant recognition.

Midnight call leads to more waiting
I'm struggling to comprehend the complexity of this appointment process. I followed the online e-consultation form as instructed, since the Jenner practice no longer operates like they did before COVID. After completing the form, I was directed to call 111, who then assessed me and said a duty doctor would contact me. The duty doctor called around 12:30 AM and advised me to ring the Jenner Practice in the morning to schedule a face-to-face appointment. When I called the surgery in the morning, they initially said I couldn't see anyone but would have a doctor call me during the morning. The doctor subsequently called, reviewed my case again, and ultimately recommended that I make an appointment to see her. I'm perplexed: is this going to be the standard procedure for Jenner moving forward? Why are there so many unnecessary steps just to secure an appointment? Does anyone else find this approach reasonable or efficient?

Rude receptionist ruined my entire experience
Among all the medical practices I've been associated with, this one stands out as the least pleasant. There's a receptionist at this surgery who I can only characterize as demonic incarnate. I consider myself reasonable and articulate, yet on four separate instances, this individual has consistently demonstrated condescension, discourtesy, and a complete lack of empathy, repeatedly interrupting me while dismissing my clearly explained circumstances. I've submitted two formal email complaints within two months, requesting management intervention, but have received zero response. Moreover, it took an exhausting four days of continuous busy signals before I could contact the surgery. When I finally connected on the fifth day, I was met with a dismissive and abrupt retort: 'obviously we're in a pandemic, so you'll just have to wait.' By that point, I had depleted my medication supply and was reduced to tears. My advice to Jenner practice: replace the aggressive gatekeeper managing your calls. No reception staff should ever drive a patient to such distress and anxiety.

Long wait and rude staff at Jenna
My spouse endured a staggering 71-minute wait to reach the reception staff, only to be abruptly disconnected upon finally getting to the front of the line. The infrequent times you actually connect, you're confronted with discourteous, insufferable representatives whose sole aim is to terminate the call as quickly as possible. Comparing their performance to other local practices, it's evident that Jenna is experiencing profound, systemic shortcomings. A complete management overhaul is desperately needed.

Caring dentist helped my little girl's teeth
We sought assistance at Jenner Health Practice Dental Services for our 4.5-year-old's persistent dental challenges that our local clinic couldn't address. Dr. Siobhan was absolutely wonderful - compassionate and understanding, with a gentle demeanor that immediately put us at ease. Both she and the Nurse were incredibly supportive throughout our consultation. After a thorough examination, she recommended a referral to King's Hospital, where our daughter will need a procedure performed under general anesthesia. We are genuinely appreciative of the exceptional, caring, and professional service we received!

Birth control nightmare at this clinic
Scheduling an appointment here is incredibly frustrating. I've been attempting to secure a follow-up prescription for my birth control for nearly two months, and their booking process is completely nonsensical. No matter what steps I follow, nothing seems to work, and I'm genuinely concerned I might end up pregnant before they even manage to schedule me in :(

RAF helpers made my vaccine day
I received my two Covid vaccinations at the Jenner facility, which collaborates with my primary care physician at SLGP. The staff, who are also affiliated with SLGP, were incredibly helpful and professional, and the volunteers were equally outstanding. I'd like to highlight that they were supported by approximately six members of the Royal Air Force medical corps, which was truly impressive 😍😍😍🎖️🎖️🎖️

Efficient doctors with quick callback service
I've consistently received top-notch care from the medical team here, with their recent digital and callback system being particularly impressive. When required, I've shared images during consultations, and they promptly return my call, which I find extremely convenient. Like most patients, I have my preferred physicians, and typically I'm able to see them. Overall, I'm thoroughly satisfied with this medical practice. Additionally, their online repeat prescription service has been flawless every single time.
