Medication Nightmare at Junction Medical Centre

I rely on critical medication for my mental health, and 3 days ago, I visited my local pharmacy only to be told they had nothing from my GP. The same day, I went to Junction medical centre and discovered I had been removed from their practice without any notification! No one could provide a satisfactory explanation for why I was no longer registered. I was absolutely devastated by their lack of clarity and unhelpful responses. They asked me to re-register, which would take at least 7 days - an unacceptable delay when I urgently need my medication. Surprisingly, when I provided my details, they could find me in their system. Ultimately, they told me to resolve the issue myself. I'm still incredibly distressed after spending 3 days calling 111 and trying to get help. The experiences shared in other reviews are completely accurate. The last staff member I spoke with was shockingly unprofessional - rude, arrogant, and showing zero empathy. When I turned away, overwhelmed by exhaustion and stress, she coldly said, "There's no reason to roll your eyes. It's your fault." Someone needs to address this medical centre's appalling treatment. They are making patients' lives miserable - nasty, mean, unprofessional, and completely lacking in compassion. During my three days there, the waiting room was constantly empty. I witnessed another patient leaving in absolute fury. I've attempted to file complaints through various authorities via email, but they've responded with bureaucratic excuses - first claiming they can't post the email, then saying a complaint is already logged. I'm at my wit's end and don't know what else I can do! 🤬

I couldn't tolerate their behavior and ended up leaving the waiting area before even consulting a physician, due to the offensive manner in which I was addressed and observed them treating other patients. Receptionist Jazz Keeps Hanging Up Calls

Please review the Google reviews sorted by Newest and observe the consistent criticisms regarding the utterly unacceptable staff at this medical practice. The fact that these staff members continue to be employed here is shameful. First, it is nearly impossible to connect via telephone because one receptionist, Jazz, habitually disconnects calls or simply hangs up. Should you unfortunately manage to speak with her, she will almost certainly provide incorrect guidance, squandering more of your time and forcing you to repeatedly call back. During my year with this practice, she has committed multiple serious errors with my medical documentation and medication, and has also provided dangerously inaccurate advice over the phone. Second, after finally securing an appointment - which requires completing an excessively time-consuming eConsult form even for basic prescription requests - you might eventually interact with a doctor. The physician I consulted missed a scheduled phone consultation by several days, and when he randomly called one afternoon, he was completely uninformed about the reason for my appointment (despite my comprehensive eConsult form submission) and ultimately offered no meaningful suggestions. While a couple of competent doctors exist, they only work here sporadically, making their services unreliable. I implore you: do yourself a favor and steer clear of this surgery AT ALL COSTS.

The reception personnel here are absolutely terrible. The front desk employee addressed me with an incredibly patronizing attitude before abruptly hanging up the phone like a petulant child. Seriously, if you lack the basic interpersonal skills required for customer service, you should find a different line of work! What a complete incompetent.

Unhelpful staff ignored urgent medical need

The front desk personnel were incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. When presented with a medical report indicating my wife requires urgent medical attention within an hour, they callously stated they have no available appointments until December 2nd. After consulting the 111 service, who suggested I speak with a manager, the reception staff claimed no manager was accessible and simply told me to have a good day, completely disregarding the urgency of our situation.

Frustrating wait for mental health support

The reception team has some problematic members, particularly Jazz. I experienced significant frustration when my scheduled appointment didn't materialize, leading me to repeatedly call - 19 times before finally getting through - only to be told I must wait and that the booking was confirmed. Given that I was seeking support for my mental health, this entire interaction actually exacerbated my emotional distress. After waiting three hours, another receptionist informed me no appointment had actually been booked, which left me extremely distraught and emotionally overwhelmed. Fortunately, this second staff member was compassionate and understanding, promptly scheduling me for an appointment that same afternoon. While some staff members like Dr. Begum are genuinely helpful, others fall short. Dr. Kateb, in particular, comes across as dismissive and arrogant, and I make every effort to avoid consulting with him.

Dismissive Doctor Left Me Frustrated and Angry

My recent phone consultation was just as disappointing as previous reviews suggested. The experience was utterly appalling, leaving me not reassured but deeply frustrated and angry at the doctor's complete lack of compassion. The consultation was devoid of any empathy, rendering it entirely pointless. When discussing my current medication's ineffectiveness, their brilliant solution was simply to max out the dosage - seriously? Upon sharing my mental health challenges, their groundbreaking advice was to take daily walks and consider counselling. Are doctors no longer expected to genuinely engage with patients, explore potential root causes, or offer meaningful emotional support? This practice has always struggled with appointment scheduling and wait times, but previously, doctors at least demonstrated some professional competence. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the quality has nosedived to such an extent that I'm genuinely unsure whether I spoke with an actual medical professional or a receptionist masquerading as one. If you need anything beyond basic prescription management or dosage adjustments, steer clear of this practice. Absolutely not recommended!!

I've been a patient at this medical practice for nearly half a decade now. I genuinely adore their approach - the service is exceptional, and their phone lines are incredibly efficient (typically with wait times under 10 minutes). The administrative staff are wonderfully supportive, and the doctors consistently demonstrate excellent listening skills, always taking patient concerns seriously and prioritizing individual health. Now that I'm relocating to an area where medical practices seem barely responsive, I'm truly realizing how outstanding this healthcare provider has been!

Rude British Receptionist Ruins Clinic Visit

The medical professionals at this practice are quite skilled, but there's a particular receptionist - an older British woman whose name I don't know - who consistently displays an incredibly rude, confrontational, and unhelpful demeanor. I cannot comprehend why she treats patients so poorly or why she remains in a customer-facing role when she seemingly despises interaction. Her conduct is truly perplexing. Despite always maintaining extreme politeness and patience during our phone interactions, she repeatedly addresses me with unwarranted contempt, as if I were beneath her. Management needs to either address her unacceptable behavior or replace her entirely. If this situation continues, I will not hesitate to file a formal complaint, and I'm prepared to escalate the matter to higher management until it is satisfactorily resolved. Overall, while the doctors are excellent, this one receptionist is absolutely terrible and significantly detracts from the practice's professional image.

Frustrating GP Calls Never Connect

I'm utterly frustrated with their appointment scheduling. This is now the second instance where I've attempted to set up a GP consultation, and they consistently fail to establish proper communication, instead leaving me with a voicemail. Upon returning their call, the Reception staff are dismissive, merely stating "you have received a call." It's absurd that I can seamlessly manage remote work for an international company without any communication problems, yet I can't secure a simple phone consultation from a local practice. I'm definitely changing healthcare providers at the earliest opportunity.
