Patient Experience Summary

Feedback across this file reveals a practice significantly challenged by appointment access and communication systems, with persistent difficulties in telephone booking and reception responsiveness creating barriers to care. Patients consistently report long waiting times on hold, restricted same-day-only booking policies, and phone lines that frequently disconnect or remain unreachable, making it difficult to schedule consultations.

Reception experience varies considerably, with some patients describing discourteous or dismissive staff interactions, whilst others praise welcoming and professional service. In contrast, clinical care receives more positive recognition, with patients frequently commending nursing staff for compassionate support, doctors for attentive medical practice, and prescription services for efficiency. The gap between access challenges and care quality suggests that organisational and management issues around booking systems and staffing represent the primary service concerns, whilst direct clinical interactions often meet patient expectations.

Frustrating wait and unhelpful reception staff

I recently visited the practice and felt completely unheard during my consultation. It took me four long weeks to secure an appointment with a doctor I had previously seen in April, as I was planning to be away for a month and was advised to follow up upon my return at the end of May. The surgery sent me a text message about blood test results, indicating I needed to see a doctor - a process that, as mentioned, took four weeks to arrange. Finally, I spoke with Solange, who was very professional, after being repeatedly turned away by an extremely rude receptionist who kept telling me there were no appointments and to call back (which is frankly ridiculous). This is precisely why A&E departments are overwhelmed. I am relieved to have finally secured an appointment. After reading previous patient feedback, it seems my experience is not unique. Do the receptionists receive any proper training on patient communication? It's no wonder people become frustrated. It's unfortunate because the doctors themselves are exceptional - brilliant and caring, and absolutely beyond reproach.

Frustrating nhs dermatology experience leads to private care

Predictable, terrible, unwieldy and futile healthcare system. I've been compelled to fund a private skin specialist because I'm still waiting for correspondence from the public health service. Urgent reforms are needed to modernize this outdated system and align it with contemporary patient requirements.

Smooth nurse visit with room for improvement

Superb streamlined consultation at North Weald Meeting with the Practice Nurse was highly satisfactory If the clinic enhances its digital infrastructure to provide comprehensive patient apps for scheduling and accessing results, I believe their overall ratings would significantly improve The core issue isn't the quality of care, but the difficulty in obtaining it Urgent request for more available appointments at North Weald

Terrible service and impossible booking process

Attempting to schedule an appointment at the front desk, I was informed it's not feasible to do so in person. Instead, I'm told to book by phone, which is equally challenging. The phone lines are perpetually jammed and impossible to connect through. What's the purpose of having a reception area if they're completely ineffective? They have three chairs but only one staff member at the counter, resulting in lengthy lines and minimal service. Not a single booking can be made directly, making this entire experience an absolute disaster. The level of service here is utterly unacceptable.

Frustrating phone system but great medical care

Navigating their telephone scheduling process is frustratingly complex and challenging. It would be beneficial to implement a system allowing non-urgent appointment bookings several days ahead to reduce congestion on their phone lines. (I understand they might be developing such a solution soon) Once you successfully connect, the actual service quality is commendable, with reception staff demonstrating politeness and helpfulness. They have consistently provided excellent care for both our child's and our personal medical needs. I recently consulted Dr Amani, who conducted a comprehensive examination. Previously, other physicians like Dr Moolman, Dr Angela, and Dr Shaw have also displayed remarkable attentiveness. The staff are clearly dedicated and hardworking; the problem lies with the administrative system rather than the personnel themselves.

Worst customer service ever avoid at all costs

Absolutely terrible service! If Google's rating system permitted, I'd give zero stars. Every time I try calling at 8:30, the phone lines are completely jammed. Scheduling an appointment seems impossible.

Terrible customer service fails vulnerable elderly patient

Impossible to reach customer service as they disconnect the call and suggest calling back later. I contacted them precisely at 8:30 AM on behalf of my aging mother, who is becoming increasingly frustrated and ready to give up due to the overwhelming difficulty of scheduling an appointment.

Amazing doctors who truly care about patients

Dr. Amani Mani, Dr. Aboharb, and Dr. Moolman are truly exceptional and compassionate physicians. I can't imagine where my family and I would be without their incredible surgical expertise. We've been under their care for six years now, and I strongly advise against paying attention to any negative feedback (from Miss Kimberley Faith and her children).

Exceptional care and compassion at the limes

During my medical consultation today with Dr Hanger and a trainee physician, I was completely comfortable. Their compassion and warmth were exceptional. This encounter at the Limes clinic was arguably the most positive healthcare interaction I've had, marked by outstanding care and professionalism. If only every NHS interaction could mirror this experience - I recognize the challenges healthcare workers face, but moments like these truly make a significant difference.

Inconsistent care at limes medical practice disappoints

At Limes, while a few doctors are excellent, getting a competent physician feels like a gamble. From my perspective, the majority are disappointingly incompetent and seem to possess minimal medical understanding. There's a complete absence of meaningful medical follow-up, especially concerning menopause and critical mental health concerns. The overall bedside manner is notably cold and impersonal. To be fair, not every doctor here is subpar - I have encountered some genuinely skilled professionals. However, the practice manager Debbie Bodhanya is particularly terrible. The old adage about leadership determining an organization's quality perfectly describes this situation. Given the current dire state of the NHS, switching practices might not improve matters, but the current standard of care is deeply unsatisfactory.

Frustrating and unhelpful booking experience at clinic

Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare here. The only way to book is by phone starting at 8:30, and if you're actually at the clinic, they won't help you. When you try calling, the line is constantly busy, making it impossible to even wait in the queue. The receptionists seem to believe they're more knowledgeable than the medical staff, with the rare exception of one friendly employee.

Worst medical practice ever, avoid at all costs

It defies comprehension that this medical facility could be managed by rational, let alone professional, individuals. I am utterly at a loss to articulate the depth of their incompetence. The practice manager embodies a level of indifference and callousness that is unprecedented in my experience. A comprehensive investigation by the relevant oversight authority is not just warranted, but essential to examine their conduct and operations.

Frustrating medical experience with disorganized healthcare

It's truly disappointing how the medical practice falls short due to inadequate communication, disarray, and inefficient management. I frequently accompany my grandfather to his routine check-ups and medication assessments, and regrettably, it's always a complicated ordeal. While I believe the staff are genuinely attempting to help, in my view, the entire practice desperately requires a comprehensive restructuring.

Amazing medical care at the limes surgery

I recently relocated to Epping and signed up with the medical practice. The registration process took approximately a week to finalize. On my first day of being registered, I was able to arrange a home visit for my disabled partner who was experiencing significant pain. Amanda, who came to assist, was absolutely phenomenal, and I cannot praise her enough. In the subsequent days, my partner received a visit from a district nurse, underwent a blood test, and scheduled physiotherapy. I attended my initial registration appointment at the practice, and the reception staff were courteous and professional. I met with Jodie, who was equally delightful, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease. Thus far, my experience with this surgery and its staff has been exceptional. I had previously read numerous negative reviews, but I'm the type of person who forms opinions based on personal experience, and I'm truly glad I did. I hope this outstanding level of care continues ☆☆☆☆☆

Healthcare professionals on strike, yet they can't even manage to print and process a simple prescription! The front desk staff was dismissive, acting superior with unnecessary remarks My heart goes out to anyone else unfortunate enough to visit this facility

Nightmare medical practice with impossible appointment system

Unquestionably, these are the most incompetent medical professionals I've ever encountered. To secure any healthcare service or consultation, they insist you must call precisely at 8:30. Today, I dialed at exactly that time, only to find the queue completely saturated, which immediately disconnected my call. I've persistently attempted to reconnect every quarter-hour, and even by 11:05, the queue remains impenetrably full. I've experienced this frustrating scenario before, ultimately being informed that all available appointments have been exhausted upon finally reaching a representative. There's absolutely no option to schedule appointments in advance. Obtaining medical care should not be reduced to a random chance game.
