Frustrating healthcare experience with poor communication

Getting an appointment or even a simple return call from this practice seems utterly futile. The frequency with which they misplace critical documents I've submitted, ultimately preventing me from obtaining my prescription, is absolutely unacceptable. I was anticipating a follow-up call that never materialized. After submitting an eConsult highlighting my lack of communication, I was assured I'd be contacted promptly. A full week has passed, and predictably, silence remains. While this practice was quite reliable years ago, the aftermath of the Covid pandemic has transformed them into a consistently underwhelming healthcare provider.

Anyone claiming they've had no issues is clearly connected to the staff, without a doubt. "Worst" is an understatement for this operation. You'd likely schedule a wizard consultation at Hogwarts faster than getting help here. The background music they subject you to is so unbearable, it makes you want to immediately disconnect. Something has clearly gone wrong, as this practice used to be reputable and reliable.

I previously had a positive experience with this medical practice during Dr. Srinivas's tenure, but now the quality has drastically declined. The current clinicians seem unable to provide adequate care. I've encountered multiple scheduling issues, including an in-person visit where I was informed no appointment existed in their system. Just yesterday, I experienced a similar problem with a phone consultation that never materialized, and I was subsequently told I wasn't even scheduled. After waiting for over two weeks, I'm now being instructed to submit another e-consultation, only to potentially wait again for a consultation with an ineffective clinician, despite consistently requesting an appointment with my regular GP. The level of incompetence is so severe that patients could potentially face life-threatening consequences due to these persistent administrative failures.

I've been a patient at this medical practice for seven years, and I've never encountered any problems whatsoever. We frequently utilize their services for various health needs, including asthma management, type 1 diabetes care, weight management, and back-related treatments, and we've always been able to secure appointments, receive phone consultations, or obtain the assistance we require. The prescription team and reception staff are absolutely fantastic and consistently provide unwavering support. Now that we're relocating, we're genuinely reluctant to switch to a different GP practice. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the entire team for their exceptional work.

Great service and support from local surgery

Many individuals criticize this medical practice, but I've discovered the key is utilizing their e-consultation service. They consistently call back, addressing urgent matters either within 24 hours or certainly within two days. They always provide an appointment or, if it's late in the day, have directed me to urgent treatment at Margate hospital. My interactions with this surgery have consistently been excellent, and I have absolutely no complaints.

Booking nightmare with endless phone hold torture

Attempting to schedule an appointment here is a nightmarish experience. I dialed precisely at 8 am and was left hanging on hold for 18 minutes. I tried again, and this time the call was answered but abruptly cut off within 3 minutes. Another attempt followed. I now have 3 separate calls in progress, and after more than 26 minutes, no one has bothered to pick up and assist me. What's the purpose of having an appointment line if you're left waiting for nearly an hour? The service is absolutely abysmal. Eventually, someone did answer, only to inform me that no appointments were available at the clinic and instead booked me into a hospital appointment 30 minutes away, when the local surgery is just 5 minutes from me! I am thoroughly frustrated! Even Poundland provides more competent customer service. Absolutely unacceptable!

Worst medical experience of my life

Dr Srinivas was the lynchpin holding this medical procedure together, and now that he's gone, I may as well launch myself from the pinnacle of Dreamland's Ferris wheel. My primary grievance involves submitting a private MRI scan to reception, which they subsequently misplaced (perhaps mistaking it for a postage stamp). I shelled out £40 for a private letter, only to have the requesting organization reject it due to missing date, address, and lack of formal presentation - it even appeared as if someone had consumed fish and chips on the document. When I sought a replacement, I was flatly denied. The ultimate indignity occurred during my practice registration, when the receptionist brazenly disclosed my personal details and inquired about my socio-economic background in a crowded waiting room - to which I candidly responded. Beware when departing London... a delightful experience awaits.

Worst customer service ever from heartless medical receptionist

The reception staff member I encountered on 11/8/23 around 4:20 pm displayed an utterly unacceptable level of unprofessionalism. This incredibly inconsiderate individual actually had the audacity to laugh when unable to process my prescription, despite my imminent relocation to Scotland the following morning. What a terrible representative of the practice. I'm skeptical that the practice manager will take the initiative to contact me, though I sincerely hope they will. When I attempted to request she maintain composure and recall her customer service protocols, she abruptly terminated our phone conversation.

Absolutely dreadful, the most incompetent medical professionals I've ever encountered. While I acknowledge that NHS underfunding plays a role, the staff's sheer lack of professionalism is equally problematic. Only one receptionist seems to demonstrate any semblance of courtesy. Their approach involves scheduling multiple unnecessary appointments that a single doctor could handle, with constant delays and frequent cancellations. Their administrative systems are so disorganized that tracking appointment purposes becomes a nightmare amid constant rescheduling and rebooking. Healthcare should indeed be accessible and free, but this facility serves as a compelling argument for private healthcare. The entire staff should be replaced with professionals who genuinely prioritize delivering quality medical service.
