I've recently relocated to Ilford and was searching for a medical practice to register with. I chose the Loxford practice, but goodness, I urgently need to find an alternative healthcare provider. I haven't managed a single consultation because securing an appointment seems impossible. The phone system is completely dysfunctional, and after enduring lengthy wait times, I'm invariably informed that no slots are available for the day. There's no option to schedule appointments in advance. This is absolutely the most frustrating medical practice I've ever encountered.

Worst customer service ever, completely unhelpful
I'm utterly bewildered by this experience. I spent nearly two hours on hold just to reach their reception. When I finally connected with the receptionist and requested to schedule an appointment, she seemed confused and asked an incomprehensible question about how many people I needed help with. I repeatedly clarified that I simply wanted to book an appointment, only to be told they had no availability for today. I explained I wasn't necessarily seeking an immediate appointment, but they appeared unwilling to even consider advance booking. This seemed bizarre, especially after noticing another customer's review mentioning they successfully scheduled an appointment just two days after their initial call. The whole situation is incredibly frustrating!!!

Terrible service saved by one compassionate employee
0 STAR. I'm adding this review on top of my previous one, as requested by staff after my initial complaint. I ultimately left the practice due to persistent communication issues and a non-functional app. The physiotherapist was extremely rude and unprofessional, even hanging up on me. A staff member even made an inappropriate comment about prioritizing my concerns based on my religious background (which was untrue). My entire family has now registered elsewhere, including relatives in the area. This practice is run by incompetent, neglectful, and unprofessional individuals. I want no further contact from them and note that my medical issues remain unresolved. However, I received an unexpected call from Nurgess, who thoroughly reviewed my file and recognized the neglect I had experienced. She proactively reached out to reassure me that my concerns would be addressed. I genuinely appreciate her extraordinary efforts to potentially prevent me from changing healthcare providers. I believe every medical practice should have an employee like her who demonstrates such commitment. While my pain persists :), I now feel more at peace knowing I will receive proper medical attention.

There is this pattern with the reception. When you call @ 8am they keep you on hold between 80 to 110 minutes. Then, they pick up and hang up. Or, pretend they didn't hear you. No call back. And this happened multiple times. I needed a sick note. It resulted in unauthorized absence.

Unprofessional doctor fails to provide proper care
I'm deeply frustrated with the medical care my child received. When my little one was battling a severe throat infection with constant coughing and vomiting, Dr. Hussain's response was disappointingly inadequate. He simply recommended paracetamol and then informed me that NHS has ceased providing other medications. However, paracetamol is completely ineffective for treating throat infections. I'm appalled by the doctor's apparent lack of medical expertise. What kind of professional recommends such an ineffective treatment? And why has NHS adopted this policy of withholding essential medicines? It seems like they're indifferent to patients' suffering, almost as if they're content to let people deteriorate without proper medical intervention.

Disastrous experience at negligent medical practice
In my fifteen years of experience, I've never encountered a medical practice as abysmal as this one. It's a complete waste of time and should be shut down immediately. I arrived at 7:30 AM with my two-year-old, only to join an endless queue. By 8:30 AM, they'd scheduled a telephone appointment for sometime between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Shockingly, no call came through. When I phoned them at 4:30 PM, they claimed the doctor would still ring me. The next day, I was told the doctor had allegedly called at 12:51 PM the previous day, leaving a message I never received. When I questioned why I'd been told at 4:30 PM that the doctor would still call, they had no explanation. Instead, they offered a Saturday appointment for an issue raised on Wednesday. Their system is perpetually "down," and they employ untrained staff who can't even properly explain blood test procedures, potentially exacerbating patients' conditions. My advice? Steer clear of this practice if you have any other option.

My postpartum experience with this practice has been highly disappointing due to what seems like unprofessional administration and scheduling issues. As new parents, we expected a standard level of care and support during this critical time, but instead, we faced a series of frustrating, physically and emotionally draining incidents. Following advice from my wife’s midwife, we anticipated that her postnatal checkup, our baby’s checkup, and the first vaccination would all take place when our baby turned 8 weeks old. However, the receptionist scheduled the appointment at 6 weeks, and despite confirming with the staff that our baby could receive the vaccination early, we were turned away by the nurse, who informed us it was too soon. This resulted in additional appointments and unnecessary stress. My wife was also scheduled for her postnatal checkup during the same visit but was told to return the next day to see a female doctor, without any explanation. The following day, even the doctor seemed confused as to why the checkup hadn't been completed earlier. Further complications arose when we received conflicting appointment reminders for our baby's vaccination. After 40 minutes of trying to contact the clinic, we showed up only to be told once again that our baby was still not 8 weeks old, and the vaccination could not be administered. To make matters worse, the nurse implied it was our responsibility to know this, despite the clinic making the scheduling errors. This lack of clear communication and repeated mishandling of appointments has caused my wife immense emotional and physical distress. Repeated unnecessary trips to the clinic have also been financially burdensome, especially as a postpartum mother needing to focus on recovery. I encourage others to be vigilant and clarify details upfront to avoid a similarly stressful experience. I sincerely hope the management will address these issues to prevent future patients from enduring such treatment.

Loxford clinic's negligence endangers patient
The medical facility's communication is abysmal. Attempts to reach them by phone are consistently futile, and on the rare occasions when someone does pick up, patients are invariably directed to a Dr. IQ. Requests for necessary medications are routinely denied, and promised follow-up calls for appointments never materialize. The level of care at Loxford is utterly deplorable. For two agonizing months, I've been without my essential medication, grappling with daily life. Even if this were some form of retribution, don't I have a fundamental right to exist? Must my situation deteriorate to the point of death before you deign to provide the medication I desperately need?
