I would give zero stars if I could. This surgical practice is absolutely the most abysmal medical service I've ever encountered. Booking an appointment is practically impossible. They repeatedly instruct patients to call within specific narrow time windows, seemingly oblivious that people experiencing health issues cannot always make a morning call. Even when you manage to call, you're condemned to wait over an hour, only to be dismissively told to try again tomorrow. The reviews appear suspiciously fabricated - I'm particularly skeptical of one claiming a patient has been seeing Dr. Johal since the 1980s, which is demonstrably false. While the medical staff themselves seem competent, the management and practice manager are entirely responsible for this catastrophic operational breakdown. The receptionists are unprofessional, untrained, and arrogantly overstepping their roles without possessing even basic customer service skills. During one particularly infuriating experience, I was placed on hold for nearly an hour. Upon arriving at the surgery while still waiting, I discovered a receptionist casually gossiping and painting her nails. When I approached to highlight the situation, I was shockingly instructed to leave the premises, despite being a waiting patient.

Utterly let down! Scheduling an appointment is incredibly challenging, especially when experiencing severe discomfort. The front desk staff are extremely unhelpful and dismissive during phone interactions, displaying a complete lack of empathy towards patients. The hold times can exceed half an hour, which is absolutely unacceptable! The medical facility falls drastically short of any reasonable patient standards! Lyndhurst Surgery's Endless Paperwork Nightmare

Utterly incompetent. For nearly a year, I've been caught in a bureaucratic nightmare trying to register with this surgery, trapped in a seemingly endless loop of document requests. Every few months, an email arrives demanding ID, forms, or proof of address, which I dutifully submit, only to be met with weeks of silence before receiving yet another identical request. I've even gone to the extreme of personally delivering all required documents to the surgery, obtaining direct confirmation that everything was in order, only to be inexplicably asked for the same materials weeks later. Attempting to communicate by phone is equally futile: when you're not abruptly disconnected, you'll endure 20+ minutes on hold, only to be told the responsible staff member is unavailable and will return your call (a promise that predictably goes unfulfilled). Hoping for an email response is equally absurd. I cannot overemphasize my complete exasperation with this establishment. I've reached a point where, were it not for the extensive email trail documenting my gradual mental unraveling, I might question the surgery's very existence—either due to their persistent gaslighting about missing paperwork or as a self-protective psychological mechanism. But it is real. I was there.

The doctors are courteous and competent. The front desk staff, however, are absolutely dreadful. Specifically, when they actually choose to pick up the phone. Once they reluctantly answer, they cut you off and clearly demonstrate how bothersome they find your call. Having been a long-time patient, I deeply miss the previous reception team. You're forced to swallow your frustration because pushing back will only harm your own interests. I recognize that working reception can be challenging and that some patients can be difficult. Nevertheless, this does not justify treating callers as unwelcome interruptions or behaving in such an unprofessional manner.

Worst Family Surgery Ever

Utterly Disrespectful! Obtaining a courteous reply from this practice seems impossible, as every staff member exhibits unprofessional behavior. When I attempted to clarify some straightforward inquiries about a letter, the doctor actually claimed I was "annoying him". Their phone responsiveness is painfully slow, and scheduling an appointment is an exercise in frustration. Despite being our family's medical practice for generations, the quality has dramatically deteriorated since Dr. Zadoo and Dr. Gupta's departure. It's evident that patient satisfaction is no longer a priority, so I will definitely be seeking healthcare elsewhere.

I stopped by recently to register myself and my young son at the medical practice, having meticulously completed all necessary paperwork and brought the appropriate documentation. After the receptionist reviewed my forms, she suggested I would be better off submitting them online, which was incredibly frustrating given the effort I'd already invested in filling them out manually. Upon attempting to locate the online registration portal, I discovered no clear website for this purpose. I tried calling to clarify the situation and was immediately placed on hold for several minutes. Eventually, I gave up and redialed, only to experience the same unresponsive treatment with endless ringing and holding. The whole experience feels like they simply don't care about assisting patients. It's clear I'll need to explore alternative healthcare providers who actually value their potential patients!
