Terrible medical practice with zero customer compassion

Absolutely horrendous front desk staff who clearly lack any semblance of customer service skills. These physicians are undoubtedly the most incompetent I've ever encountered. Although I rarely require medical attention, when I do, scheduling an appointment becomes an impossible task, with wait times exceeding three weeks. Today, when I reached out about a debilitating muscle spasm, their response was to direct me to the emergency room - a recommendation that is nothing short of disgraceful and unprofessional!

Disappointed with local gp's covid vaccine response

I've been with this medical practice for over six decades, and it's conveniently located near my home. During the Covid pandemic, my recent NHS vaccine invitation presented a frustrating scenario: I would need to travel either a 10-mile round trip to Birmingham's city center or a 5-mile journey to the closest participating pharmacy. Given my Angina, which worsens in cold weather, this is particularly challenging. The initial NHS communication suggested I have vaccination options and advised me to wait for my local GP services to contact me if I preferred that route. They explicitly stated I shouldn't contact my GP directly. However, despite the letter being dated February 7th, I'm still waiting for my vaccine. Clearly, the practice shows no urgency or interest, so I've reciprocated that sentiment and lost my enthusiasm for their services.

Frustrating phone system makes booking appointments difficult

I appreciate this medical practice and have been a patient for several years, with no issues regarding the actual consultations and physicians. I understand the pandemic has complicated appointment scheduling, but since March, they've eliminated their 'virtual queues' when calling at 8 am. You must call precisely at 8 to book a same-day appointment, and when you do, you're met with a perpetual 'user busy' signal for 20-30 frustrating minutes. I suspect this is a deliberate strategy to discourage patients from seeking medical care (which is deeply troubling, as healthcare should be accessible to all). I'm concerned this approach is particularly unfair to elderly individuals or those less comfortable navigating phone systems. The thought of a vulnerable person being unable to secure a medical appointment is truly distressing. Get it together, manor!

Great local surgery with caring medical team

When we relocated to this neighborhood, we were advised to sign up with this medical practice. The general practitioners and nursing staff are consistently professional, friendly, and compassionate. Typically, when I contact them in the morning seeking an appointment for myself or my children, we manage to secure a slot that same day. The reception staff have consistently demonstrated politeness and exceptional helpfulness. On occasions when I've needed prescription renewals for my kids, they've processed these via telephone and efficiently transmitted them directly to the pharmacy. Comparing our experience with accounts from others about different GP practices, I genuinely believe we've been fortunate to find such an excellent healthcare provider at Ash Furlong.

After relocating to this region, I deeply regret switching healthcare providers. Attempting to schedule a consultation becomes a frustrating ordeal, with the front desk staff interrogating you about your medical concerns and actively discouraging you from booking. Even after persistently insisting on seeing a physician, you'll likely face a waiting period of nearly two weeks. To make matters worse, the doctors consistently run significantly behind schedule, with delays often exceeding 30 minutes. My advice: steer clear of this practice!
