Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience across the practice. Many patients praise the compassionate care, professional expertise, and courteous communication from medical staff and nursing teams, with particular appreciation for attentive listening and efficient prescription processing. Reception experience and phone responsiveness are consistently highlighted as strengths, with several patients noting straightforward appointment booking and welcoming environments.
However, significant challenges emerge around appointment access and waiting experiences. Patients report persistent difficulties securing timely consultations, with some describing the booking process as frustrating and complex. Long waiting times for appointments, test results, and callbacks are recurring concerns. The introduction of a triage system has generated particular frustration, with patients finding it creates barriers to accessing care for non-urgent matters. Reception staff courtesy is inconsistent, with some patients experiencing dismissive or discourteous interactions that contrast sharply with positive feedback from other visitors.
Prescription processing errors and incomplete medication orders represent another area of concern, with patients reporting repeated trips to collect missing items. Communication gaps also feature prominently, including delayed diagnostic feedback and instances where referrals or test results appear to go unprocessed. While individual clinicians receive strong praise for their clinical skills and empathy, the broader service experience is undermined by organisational challenges around continuity, responsiveness to phone inquiries, and the reliability of administrative systems.

Prescription Mess at This Terrible Surgery
This medical practice is absolutely abysmal. Throughout my year of experience, they've consistently failed to accurately process my prescription. I've frequently had to return 3-4 times just to complete my medication order due to their repeated oversights and stock shortages. The doctors consistently neglect to include necessary items on prescriptions, and referrals simply vanish into thin air. Multiple family members have encountered dismissive physicians who appear disinterested, seeming more focused on rapidly prescribing something - anything - just to usher patients out and move to the next. Appointment wait times are excessively long. And this doesn't even address the significant data protection and privacy breaches. COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT.

Caring Doctors at Cranwell Medical Centre
Dr. Daniella, Dr. Follwell, Dr. Klakus, and another female doctor whose name escapes me are absolutely exceptional at Cranwell Medical Centre. These physicians are truly compassionate and dedicated. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure patients receive the most comprehensive care possible. It's evident they are genuinely passionate about their profession and take real pleasure in helping people. Their approach makes every patient feel completely at ease during consultations. They are simply outstanding. I wouldn't consider seeking medical treatment from anyone else. Additionally, the nurse Georgie is remarkable - she's incredibly warm, understanding, and always radiates positivity with her cheerful demeanor.

Unfair Appointment System at Local Office
Unless you're under 70, securing an appointment seems impossible. I attempted to schedule a slot and was instructed to call in the morning, while an elderly woman behind me in line was immediately granted a booking for the next day! Considering all the new housing developments in Driffield, the situation looks dire!

Ignored at the Surgery Counter
Recently joined this surgery but decided to leave after just two months! Only one Receptionist and Nurse were pleasant, though I barely interacted with them and don't know their names. The other staff seem more focused on maintaining a long queue while chatting and laughing with current patients! I couldn't access the screen system, so I joined the queue. After 15 minutes waiting, I was deemed late and couldn't get my blood work done - absolutely unacceptable! I even approached the small pharmacy counter for five minutes hoping to get someone's attention, but staff deliberately ignored me and when I finally interrupted, they coldly stated "this side isn't open, go back to the queue." Dr Anderson was equally unhelpful. I'm struggling with mental health and significant weight loss, and it was challenging to discuss my issues when she appeared disinterested and more preoccupied with what looked like a mince pie. I understand healthcare work is demanding - I've worked in the sector myself - but I always prioritized patient care above personal comfort. Her appointment was 20 minutes late, yet patients like myself would be turned away for similar delays. They clearly need more staff or should stop accepting new patients!

Doctors Always Get Me Sorted Quickly
Never encountered any issues with the physicians at this clinic, and the nursing staff is consistently cordial and supportive. They always manage to address my medical needs effectively. If you're not comfortable waiting for an extended period, feel free to request a specific doctor.

Nurse Kate Kind, but Doctor's Response Terrible
Nurse Kate was incredibly kind, but Dr. Anderson's dismissive "dunno" response to my health concerns was completely unacceptable. I'm genuinely frustrated and have now switched to private healthcare in hopes of getting proper attention. Having to take matters into my own hands regarding my medical issues left me feeling utterly humiliated, and the standard of care was absolutely appalling.

Wise Doctor Who Listens Carefully
Dr Pedder Smith is a superb general practitioner. He's an attentive listener who delves deep into health concerns and offers insightful guidance. While I might not always align with his perspective, I recognize he's the medical professional with extensive training and clinical expertise—far more credible than my own limited knowledge or online research. My appreciation goes out to him.

Terrible Doctor at Driffield Medical Centre
Dr Anderson is as useful as a paper umbrella, and it seems she might be experiencing menopause, but the last thing on her mind is treating patients. I repeatedly try scheduling an appointment for my child, only to be brushed off by her receptionist who suggests consulting a pharmacist instead. I'll miss her about as much as a root canal, and I'm hoping her retirement comes swiftly so patients can avoid dealing with her perpetually sour expression and apparent constant irritation. The saying goes that passion makes work feel effortless, but this woman must have endured pure misery throughout her 40-year career, given how little she appears to want to be at the Driffield medical centre. If patient interaction is so distasteful to her, she'd be better suited to a solitary life as a hermit rather than continuing to demonstrate such remarkable incompetence in her current role.

Impossible to Get an Appointment Anywhere
Scheduling appointments is a constant struggle here. Staffing issues due to annual and maternity leave seem to be wreaking havoc on availability. The practice would benefit from improved planning and potentially limiting new patient intake. It feels like you must predict health concerns months ahead just to secure a consultation. Despite having numerous staff members, the process crawls at an exasperating pace. Weekend hours could resolve many of these challenges, yet there's zero indication of that happening. The current situation is lose-lose for everyone involved.
