Extremes in experience!

I am more than happy with the treatment I receive from Dr. Gurev Gurani (Spelling?) I have also had good treatment from Dr. Rachel Blackham. But I have had one very bad experience from a phone consultation with a Dr Emmanuel, (not listed as current at this surgery). On the basis of one phone conversation and never having met me this man decided I could be a drink driving risk and that he would consider reporting me as a risk to DVLC if I did not engage with an Alcohol Help Group! Had he listened to me carefully he would have learnt that I can stop drinking whenever I need to as I work offshore and therefore cannot drink every other month. I have since with the help of another Dr stopped the medication that through its effect on my libido was making me drink in the first place. So a very mixed experience with this Surgery.

Long phone wait cost money to call in

I received a message this morning asking me to call the surgery. The automated system indicated I was first in the queue to wait, however I remained on hold for 25 minutes. This is particularly frustrating on Monday mornings, and the phone call cost me £7.50 on my landline. The charge is unacceptable, especially since my landline is bundled with my internet service. I find it hard to believe that being next in the queue should require such a lengthy wait. I feel the surgery's service standards are declining week after week.
