Frustrating phone lines and unhelpful reception staff

I've recently registered with this practice and the phone line situation is absolutely frustrating! Getting through is nearly impossible, forcing me to physically walk to the surgery just to secure an appointment. A referral was supposedly made 5 months ago from another Trust, and today I discovered from the receptionist that no letter had been received, despite previously discussing this with a GP who had assured me the referral would happen. A message to the receptionist: you are not a medical professional, your job is simply to book my appointment with a GP for this urgent matter, and please check your attitude at the door. If I do not receive communication from the GP within the 2 working days specified on their website, I will definitely be filing a complaint with PALS. It's truly disappointing because the GPs themselves are wonderful, but there are clearly significant problems with the administrative systems and processes.

As a patient at this clinic, I am utterly appalled by the unprofessional and discourteous reception staff. Attempting to communicate with them is an exercise in frustration, as they seem eager to cut conversations short and quickly terminate phone calls. Their demeanor makes patients feel pressured and hurried when trying to explain their needs. The morning appointment booking process is particularly challenging - calling precisely at 8am still results in a 30-minute wait, only to be informed that no appointments are available. I've experienced this disappointing scenario for two consecutive days, which is extremely aggravating for patients seeking medical attention. While the doctors themselves are wonderful, the receptionist's rude attitude significantly undermines the overall patient experience and creates unnecessary stress for those already dealing with health concerns.

Doctors great but reception staff are terrible nightmare

Right off the bat, I want to emphasize how fantastic the doctors are. Unfortunately, the entire experience is completely undermined by the incredibly terrible front desk personnel. These staff members are discourteous, insensitive, and display a total lack of compassion for patients. I'm genuinely astounded by their shocking attitude, behaving as if patients are an inconvenience rather than people seeking medical help. While I'm personally not a frequent visitor due to good health, I've witnessed this unprofessional conduct nearly every time I've been there. Despite everything, if you can somehow tolerate the dreadful reception staff, the doctors themselves are truly exceptional.

I've been attempting to schedule an appointment for two consecutive days. Initially, the receptionist advised me to call back the following morning at 8am. When I did so, she informed me that all slots were filled for the day and no appointments were available. The level of customer service they're offering is extremely disappointing.

Dangerous neglect of my serious health concern

Incompetent Medical Professionals and personnel, I've been dealing with a minor breast lump for over two years, and they've consistently dismissed my concerns. I recently underwent a comprehensive blood screening at my own expense, costing £200, because this subpar general practitioner refused to conduct a thorough examination. The test results are concerning, and I anticipate this GP will once again attempt to downplay my health issues. I believe it's time to seek a new healthcare provider.

Nurse Margorie is absolutely top-tier, treating patients with a wonderful blend of professional care and personal connection.
