Courthouse medical: efficient, friendly, and actually helpful
I'm not a registered patient here - I came to get a heart monitor and can only compare my experience to my current GP surgery in Cheam. 1) My surgery keeps you on hold for 20 minutes with a prerecorded COVID message, followed by another 20-minute wait before someone answers. This occurs even outside peak hours, right after lunch. When I called the courthouse, I was speaking to a real person within minutes - truly impressive. 2) My practice misplaced not one, but two referrals for a heart monitor. I had to personally contact hospitals to track down what was happening because the GP secretaries are completely ineffective. They promised to call me back at a specific time on a specific day, but never did. When I contacted the courthouse, they hadn't received my referral either, but because of my lengthy wait, they committed to calling me first thing on a designated day - and they followed through. 3) My surgery often has a queue stretching out the door with only one reception window open, while staff in the background chat casually. Patients risk missing appointments by standing in line for 20 minutes just to check in. At the courthouse, I waited merely 3 minutes with one person ahead of me, and a receptionist promptly checked me in. The receptionists were friendly - something surprisingly uncommon in GP centers. The waiting room was spotless, with the main area nearly empty and the ECG waiting room completely vacant. Hand sanitizer was prominently displayed at the entrance, eliminating any searching. The lady who fitted me for the ECG was pleasant and provided clear explanations. While I can't comment on the doctors since I'm not a patient here, my overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, especially compared to the terrible service at my own GP center.

The experience has been extremely disappointing, and the situation has only deteriorated since the pandemic began. The staff seems completely uninterested in addressing patient concerns. They now conveniently use COVID-19 protocols as an excuse to avoid accountability. Scheduling an appointment is an incredibly lengthy and frustrating process. The surgical care is absolutely unacceptable!

The surgical practice is utterly deplorable. If I could rate them lower than zero, I would. Every single staff member, from physicians to front desk personnel, displays an appalling lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. Their incompetence is staggering, and they've shown zero commitment to patient care. They've completely failed to support my medical needs, leaving me without critical medication for four consecutive months. Their communication is non-existent - they even cancelled my blood test without any prior warning or explanation. My strongest recommendation is to steer clear of this medical facility. Mixed experience with medical staff and tests
I've encountered some less-than-pleasant interactions with certain receptionists, but thankfully, there are also genuinely helpful staff members. The nurse who performed my blood test was particularly compassionate, recognizing my needle anxiety and making the procedure so smooth that I barely noticed it happening. She was absolutely excellent. As for their operational system, I experienced a frustrating mix-up where I received a third reminder for a cervical cancer screening, causing me to cancel my plans and visit the clinic, only to be told by a nurse that I wasn't even due for the test. It seems there's a clear communication breakdown among staff members. Additionally, I underwent blood tests elsewhere that indicated an underactive thyroid and potential kidney issues. When I consulted my GP, they conducted tests and declared everything normal. I'm genuinely perplexed by these conflicting results, especially since a private health check (which I paid for) definitively revealed some underlying health concerns.

Terrible gp service leaves patient frustrated and unheard
I'm having an absolutely terrible experience with this general practice. Their phone lines are impossible - no one picks up when trying to book an appointment, and if someone does answer, they're incredibly rude. When I explained that I'd been waiting on hold for 40 minutes and they're extremely busy, their response was dismissive. Attempting to schedule an appointment is futile since every single doctor is fully booked, and they seem completely unhelpful. To make matters worse, their website claims you can book online, but when you try, they just redirect you elsewhere. I could go on about the numerous frustrations, but it would be exhausting to detail everything. I sincerely hope they improve their customer service and appointment booking system. This is my earnest request.

I endured an excessively long wait of over 15 minutes just to have my call answered. The receptionist demonstrated a rigid and unhelpful approach when scheduling phone appointments. Their scheduling system reveals a backlog of appointments stretching across several weeks. As a diabetic patient, I was promised an eye examination by the nurse, which remains unscheduled. Moreover, I've been prescribed additional cholesterol medication without a proper consultation, despite not having cholesterol issues. My intention was to consult a diabetes specialist to review my blood results and current medication, but Dr. A responded with an arrogant dismissal, claiming that since they are a specialized diabetes clinic, a review was unnecessary.

The surgical procedure was excellent. I'm receiving top-notch care and attention. The medical staff are incredibly empathetic and caring. The front desk personnel are somewhat inconsistent; most are accommodating, but one staff member can be a bit abrupt. Nevertheless, the primary focus is on seeing the physician, and as I mentioned, the doctors are truly outstanding.

Condescending and disrespectful personnel! They dragged out my test results for over three weeks (with the receptionist claiming the doctor said it wasn't urgent since I was traveling), and then suddenly informed me I have an infection requiring antibiotics?? This is completely absurd!
