Terrible service and frustrating customer experience

Waited an excruciatingly long 25 minutes just to get through on the phone, only to be met with an incredibly unhelpful male receptionist. When I finally got a response, I was instructed to call back in a week or so because the nurses are on leave and September's schedule isn't even prepared. This medical practice has seriously deteriorated in quality and professionalism.

Dismissive receptionist but helpful gp saved the day

A short while back, I reached out regarding a continuous headache during my pregnancy. The front desk staff member who took my call inquired about the purpose of my contact, and upon learning it was about a headache, responded with, 'you require an appointment merely for a headache'. Receptionists should exercise more sensitivity in their communication and avoid appearing indifferent, as headaches can potentially indicate a critical health issue while pregnant. Despite this initial interaction, I was subsequently contacted the same day by a physician from Langley health centre who swiftly scheduled an in-person consultation and conducted a comprehensive and attentive medical evaluation.

Unprofessional doctor dismissed my serious health concerns

The doctor showed zero compassion and bluntly labeled me as overweight during my visit, which was particularly hurtful given that I was seeking answers about my persistently swollen stomach. I was deeply frustrated that he dismissed my genuine medical concerns, suggesting my pain stemmed from my weight rather than acknowledging my hernia or recently diagnosed IBS. His insensitive comments about needing to exercise and diet were especially inappropriate, considering I struggle to even stand due to chronic arthritis. Dr. Amer, whom I saw on August 5th, 2025, was completely unprofessional, and I would absolutely refuse to see him again under any circumstances.
