Hey, I scheduled a consultation with the nurse today at 12:30. As a diabetic patient, Orchard Surgery had previously contacted me multiple times to arrange this appointment. They confirmed the 12:30 time slot. I arrived early at 12:21 and checked in. Due to my diabetes, I'm unable to remain seated for extended periods. However, by 12:55, no healthcare professional had seen me. My medical condition made it impossible for me to wait any longer, especially given that the surgery didn't seem to have a significant backlog.

They only become available at 8:30, but when you attempt to book then, they rudely inform you that you should have called earlier, and all appointment slots are already taken. It's an incredibly frustrating process. I've tried explaining the ongoing phone line problems to them, yet they remain completely unhelpful and unresponsive.

Terrible service and communication from local gp practice

Unsatisfactory handling of phone consultations by this general practice... I scheduled an appointment and received a call from a private number, which I blocked due to the prevalence of scammers - a completely reasonable precaution. Despite attempting to call back the clinic within two minutes, they were unable to connect me with a doctor. They rescheduled another appointment for later that day, which felt like a complete time-waster. They should simply assign an available physician. The way they treat patients lacks consideration and is extremely frustrating. The practice's operations are clearly not patient-friendly, and the reception staff are consistently discourteous. I merely requested the basic service of speaking with a doctor.

UPDATE 25.11.2024 I am utterly frustrated with the substandard care provided by GP Orchard clinic (Once again!!!) I reached out regarding a critical and urgent health concern that demanded immediate intervention. Despite the gravity of my situation, I was informed no appointments were available, with the earliest slot being four days away at a different location. This response is completely unacceptable for a potentially life-threatening condition. This isn't an isolated incident of poor service from this clinic. Previously, I was a patient undergoing investigation for suspected cancer. Although ultimately cleared, my symptoms have now returned with alarming intensity, yet the clinic continues to demonstrate a shocking disregard for urgent cases. I intend to file a formal complaint with medical regulatory bodies concerning their inadequate care and mismanagement. Patients experiencing serious symptoms should never be treated so dismissively. This isn't about a trivial ailment—I sought help because I urgently needed medical attention. Completely futile experience. My unsatisfactory one-star evaluation has lingered here for an extended period. Recently, I attempted to update it with a more optimistic perspective, but subsequently, the quality of care has plummeted even further. Physicians who require constant repetition during every interaction. When you request assistance to enhance your medical treatment, they inexplicably proceed to do precisely the opposite, transforming an already dismal situation into something utterly intolerable. I strongly urge you, should you be managing a chronic health condition, to seek alternative medical practitioners. If a negative rating were possible, I would undoubtedly assign it.

After finally getting through, you're confronted with a dysfunctional online form that lacks meaningful questions and appropriate response options. Following 45 frustrating minutes, you're instructed to phone the surgery again. After enduring two minutes of automated messages pushing online services, you encounter staff with significant communication challenges who are remarkably unhelpful and dismissive. Having eventually secured a brief 10-minute appointment scheduled two weeks out, you can anticipate being essentially disregarded and receiving a perfunctory "return in three months if the issue continues" response. While I understand GP practices are under pressure, the standard of "care" provided by this surgery borders on medical negligence.
