After my two recent consultations for separate health concerns, I want to share my appreciation for the excellent service at this medical practice. The front desk staff was incredibly accommodating, scheduling me promptly and at times that worked well for my schedule. Dr. Ashry, whom I saw during both visits, was exceptionally warm and personable. What stood out particularly during my second appointment was her thorough and methodical approach to questioning, which demonstrated her commitment to ruling out potentially significant medical issues.

Frustrating medical practice with terrible service

I switched to this medical practice and it's incredibly challenging to secure an appointment, obtain medication, or use online services. Upon joining, I was asked to schedule a medication review, which I did, and was promised a callback that never materialized. I naively assumed that during my upcoming doctor's appointment, I could discuss and review my medications to get my prescription refills. However, the Doctor informed me that discussing such matters would require a separate appointment, as she had already addressed two other issues with me. I attempted to book a medication review at reception, but midway through our conversation, the receptionist abruptly turned away to assist another patient waving a form, causing me to leave in frustration. Later that day, I called and discovered the earliest available appointment was too far in September, given my urgent medication needs. When advised to call back mid-morning, I was told the next appointment was even further away. The staff also asked redundant questions like whether I had a previous GP, which was obviously yes - and my previous practice was far more efficient. While I understand a new practice needs to review my medications, the process is unnecessarily complicated. I've wasted over an hour trying to resolve this and am giving up. It's simpler to return to my old practice and travel than to be treated like an inconvenience and made to feel like my request is extraordinary. I strongly advise against using this practice.

Doctor was extremely supportive and thoroughly explained the microbiology details. He inquired about my catheter history, noting I haven't had one in over two decades, and subsequently prescribed new antibiotics for me.

Karen was courteous, competent, and assured in her approach to assisting me. She meticulously combed through the system, assembling information with the precision of an investigator! She carefully documented her findings for her colleagues and added notes to my medical records. It was truly invigorating to interact with such a dedicated professional who was eager to explore every avenue to address my concerns and provide comforting guidance. Thank you Karen. Dr Syeda Mansur - I am deeply thankful for Dr. Sheda Mansur's compassion, empathy, and unwavering support. Right from our first encounter, she created a comforting environment and demonstrated a sincere commitment to my health and healing. Her profound understanding and genuine concern were incredibly meaningful, and I am truly appreciative of all her efforts to assist me.

Efficient service despite communication challenges

Despite my communication challenges, the medical staff quickly assessed my condition and provided a timely diagnosis along with appropriate treatment.

Incompetent staff fail to help elderly patient

The prescription line receptionist displayed a dismissive attitude with an inflexible 'practice policy'. A basic laxative like laxido should be a standard repeat item for a patient on heavily constipating medicines, yet my mum was denied these because 'she had not ordered within 2 years.' She absolutely has ordered this medication previously, either under Macrogol or Movicol, but reception staff are incompetent at reviewing her medication history and inappropriately act as medical experts. The receptionist flatly refused to submit a laxido request to the GP for review, despite her experiencing drug-induced constipation from medication she has been taking for over a decade! I'm convinced any clinician reviewing this request would have immediately approved laxido given her medical history and ongoing treatments. Extremely poor medication request and appointment triage, forcing my mum to schedule a GP consultation for something as straightforward as obtaining laxido for her repeat list - an utterly unnecessary drain on healthcare resources! This request could have been easily routed to the practice pharmacist, physician assistant, or advanced nurse practitioner for a quick review and list update. She shouldn't be directed to purchase medication independently, as her constipation is a chronic side effect of her long-term prescribed medications! I am appalled by the inefficient workflow and poor utilization of the practice's multidisciplinary team, resulting in wasted GP appointments and patient frustration. This represents just one of numerous inconveniences she has encountered. Based on recurring issues experienced by multiple family members and friends, I cannot in good conscience recommend this medical practice to anyone.
