Dr. Hassan was exceptional, and I have absolutely no complaints. He made me feel truly heard and comprehended. However, the receptionist who answered my initial call was disappointingly cold and indifferent, which unfortunately detracts from the overall quality of the medical practice.

Incompetent surgery with frustrating and lazy service

Extremely substandard service and intolerable delays The insurance company remitted payment to the GP surgery in early March for paperwork related to a claim. The funds were assigned to a specific GP who promptly departed on holiday. We discovered this only after persistent follow-ups. Despite having multiple physicians on staff, they inexplicably allocated the task to an unavailable professional. The GP returned April 14th, completed the paperwork swiftly, and sent a text at 5pm indicating it was ready for review — precisely when the secretary's office was closing. We arrived at 4:20pm the following day (Wednesday), only to be informed the secretaries had already departed. Reception directed us to telephone the next morning to schedule a viewing. When we called at 10am on Thursday, the secretary claimed we couldn't review the documents due to "staffing issues" — she was working solo, despite typically having a three-person team. We merely required a brief document review, not supervised examination. Nevertheless, we were told the earliest possible viewing would be Tuesday, following the Easter weekend's bank holidays. After enduring over a month of inefficient internal processes, we're now expected to wait an additional 5 days for a task requiring mere minutes. Utterly unprofessional. Zero communication, zero flexibility, and zero consideration for people's time or urgency. Completely ridiculous.

Worst healthcare experience ever smear cancellation nightmare

Following an excruciatingly long wait of more than twelve months to secure a cervical screening appointment, I've now been abruptly cancelled via a text message riddled with grammatical errors that would embarrass a primary school student. No explanation was provided for the cancellation, with the vague instruction to simply call and reschedule. The timing is particularly suspicious, coinciding with school half term. It's ironic that healthcare providers constantly emphasize the importance of regular screenings and express concern about low participation rates, yet actually obtaining an appointment is nearly impossible - comparable to securing a reservation at an exclusive, fully booked restaurant. The entire experience has been utterly frustrating, thoroughly unprofessional, and I am genuinely eager to hear the practice manager's justification for such substandard service.

Rude receptionist ruins medical experience for frustrated patient

The front desk staff member comes across as particularly unpleasant, and I'm frustrated that I didn't catch her name to specifically call her out. She deliberately prolonged my wait in line, pretending to be occupied when she clearly wasn't, just so she could criticize me for being tardy and prevent me from completing my checks. I'm definitely planning to switch my general practitioner because of this experience.

Unacceptable service at medical practice today

I am utterly frustrated with my recent encounter at this medical facility. Despite arriving merely a minute after my scheduled time at 15:31 due to an obstructed entrance, I found myself caught in a lengthy reception queue. By 15:38, when I finally reached the front, I was abruptly told I was "too late" and needed to reschedule, even after explaining I had been waiting in line most of that time. The receptionist claimed she had informed the doctor, who subsequently refused to see me. If such a rigid policy exists, patients should be explicitly advised to arrive substantially earlier to accommodate unexpected complications. To compound my irritation, when I was ultimately seen at 15:55, the physician was aloof and unsympathetic. Upon politely inquiring about the issue, he claimed he was displeased with my interaction with the receptionist—despite my having merely articulated reasonable concerns. As a substantial contributor to the NHS, I anticipate professional and equitable treatment. Regrettably, this experience dramatically fell below those expectations.
